  1. @Mike AKA Dog21 ACC did not recruit your kid. That is a lie, the onl way ACC would have known about your son was if you lived in the lehigh valley and if you do why are you driving to bucks county everyday??? My son goes to Freedom and two of our best players Okezie and Eddie tried to transfer to ACC and they would not accept them. ACC rarely accepts any transfers if they even have the smell of recruiting attached to it.

Wood on the other hand? I cant dispute what I dont know but I do know that the peoples and smith did not grow up or currently live anywhere near Wood. They did not play for any middle school program assciated with any CYO Smith Went to George Washington and transferred for his senior year. Desmon went to Abington, St. Joe Prep, and then wood. Brandon went Abington then Wood. Wood people are some of the most arrogant people I have ever met.

  2. Hentz, You are allowed to go to another pub school if you pay the equivallent of the tax. It was done back when CBW was a perenial power. It’s just that the tide has turned now and the Catholic schools are the powers.

  3. Hentz, I do agree with you. I’m not saying that wood does’nt go out and get kids. The Catholic schools have to in order to survive. My point was that ACC does the same thing they have too. The peoples are practicing catholics who had a choice. If I went into half the B.S. that Brandon was going through at Abington you would’nt believe it The parents did the best thing for their children! It just is’nt as one sided as Jackie makes it out to be. Just sour grapes!

  4. @ Mike: Congrats on a great season. Best team in the State this year.
Now, it is one thing for an 8th grader living far away to come in. That is fair game. Arch of Phila has open enrollement.Families move into a new area, etc… RE Peoples. Please!! D. Peoples 3 SCHOOLS IN 4 YEARS!! B. PEOPLES 2 SCHOOLS!! Nate Smith transfers in for Sr. year. There are many people within the CYO community in Bucks County who are fit to be tied with Devlin and his antics. No loyalty whatesoever. Gonna come back to bite him. Can someone from Wood tell us how the new transfers grades are?? Do they even care??

  5. @ Mike:

But is she right? Didn’t the Peoples boys go to Abington & Prep? They’re not little parish schools in & around philly. None of the public schools would be allowed to get them UNLESS they lived in that district. That’s kinda like recruting, don’t you agree?

  6. Jackie, You are wrong on so many points I don’t know where to begin. Unlike Allentown Philadelphia is a huge city. There are or were many parrishes to attend. Then there were many Catholic High Schools to go to. Now not so many so there is open enrollment available to catholic students who excel in sports in order to better themselves. Peoples cousins attended a parrish outside of Philly which gave them the opportunity to attend the Catholic High School they wanted. Thompson played CYO Ball for his local parrish as did the Archiadaconos all which fed into Archbishop Wood! Now for you to tell me that ACC does not recruit would make you a lier! They tried to recruit my son,who now goes to Wood. ACC has to recruit in order to survive just like the other Arcdiocesen Schools. ACC had a great crop of boys the last few years who were from local parrishes. Woods crop of players was just the same local parrish kids who grew and got better together and achieved great things as ACC did the year before. To complain about recruiting is the pot calling the kettle black!

  7. @Mike who did Acc recruit?
    Nosovitch- St. Thomas
    Gulyas- St. Thomas
    McNeely’s- Cathedral
    McDermott- Cathedral
    Sandherr- St. Joes
    Faust- St. Mikes
    Pitts- St. Francis
    O’donnel- Cathedral
    Roberts- St. Elizabeth
    Scarloto- St. Joes
Those are most of the kids who contributed over the past three years and the catholic grade school they attended.
    Wood
    D. Peoples- Abington HS, St. Joe Prep hmmm 3 High Schools.
    B. Peoples- Abington HS
    N. Smith- George Washington HS
    C. Thompson- Central Bucks Middle School.
Archiadocono’s- All the brothers went to prep. Where prep is located compared to where wood is hmm.
I could go on and on about this team
Oh wait brooks left prep? That makes it ok? Wrong thats an athletic transfer. Te fact of the matter is Devlin is an average football coach with a napolean complex. Mike Carey runs that team. Which is kind of funny. Google Mike Carey interviews Mike Pettine Sr. A transcript will come up where both talk about building programs where you get kids from your district. Now carey is a part of that, can you say hypocrit

  8. Wasn’t Peoples originally at St. Joe’s Prep? How’d he get to Wood? Did he move into that school district? Would you define that as recruiting? I’m just asking. Some people do & some don’t consider that recruiting. That’s what Dan is pointing out.

  9. @ Buddy

I agree Lasalle & NP have great programs however R. Reeves from NP should have been on the list. Reeves has to be the best 2012 linebacker in the state and was denied due to Politics. The Big 33 is all about who you know not how well you play. I’ve seen this happen many times in the past.

  10. Chris Muller chose not to submit a highlight tape for consideration. He does not want to risk injury so close to starting at Rutgers. He was invited to play in 3 other all-star games but declined.

  11. First off. Nosovitch played hurt ALL YEAR!!! Played with a torn labrum in his left shoulder which occured against Downingtown the 1st game of the year or he would have put up even better numbers. Harding is a nice player. Nosovitch is a GREAT PLAYER. And one more final comment for dog. Enough about WOOD!! You bought your championship with all your recruiting. Be satisfied.

  12. LaSalle is one of those teams similiar to North Penn. They have no outstanding superstars that get all the press, just very solid teams on both sides of the ball. Neither send anyone to the Big 33 , or any other allstar assemble either. However, no one can beat them on the field.

  13. @LVCfan MAybe Harding should be in over the kid from prep but there are several kids who should be in over harding. First of all Hardings numbers were not better than Nosovitch’s. Harding is an average QB who played in a great system. Plain and Simple

  14. All these kids had amazing seasons, nosovitch is one of the most amazing players in LVC/D11/PIAA history…

Some kids got robbed big time..Dan Harding deserved to be on this roster over Morninweg, had one of the best seasons of any QB ..take away those 2 crazy games in the state playoffs for Nosovitch (8 tds in one i believe) and Hardings numbers blew him away.

Big 33 needs to consider adding a 3rd running back to the roster, there were too many great backs this year to only select 2 . Also maybe add a 2nd athlete spot because they left a few good recievers and db’s off this list as well.

And i got to agree with the earlier post..where are any of the LaSalle players? I only got to see them once against Nazareth, but there was talent everywhere, very well coached squad.. dont know much about there numbers but they had some playmakers

  15. @ littleguyscoach

Just to let you know, in 2 games against Easton this year, Harding threw for almost 600 yds and 5 touchdowns. You might want to give the guy a little respect. Plus he threw for 280 yds against mighty LaSalle, so it seems a team from outside the Lehigh Valley couldn’t defend him either. And I’m not even a Nazareth fan.

  16. personally any qb could throw for 2500 and 30 they way your teams play defense in the lehigh valley with the exception of easton which always plays good D!

  17. harding got all the local awards over nosovitch cuz nosovitch won them all last yr as a junior last year, thats how the selections work around here, they wanted to honor harding for a good year and they did and it was well deserved the kid played great. its hard to argue if he should be in this game or not, he broke out as a junior and had an awesome year this year. i think he deserves a spot altho i havent seen mornhinweg play at all. harding was consistent tho its hard to overlook what he did. i see him as a patriot league player, very good awareness, hes accurate bit weird mechanics

  18. @ PCL fan:
I agree. The league is very good ( well not all, but the expected powerhouses are). They are winners for the most part. But some of you PCL fans do go on & on forever. And the powerhouses do lose on occasion ( ex. West Catholic & LaSalle in East final). Just settle down. Give other teams their due. Wood the greatest team ever? Very debatable.

  19. BUDDY
PCL doesn’t lose! We are winners!
    D. Peoples should have been the 1st Wood player taken. He’s ran circles around our league for 3years.
He gave my alma mater fits! The kid is as legit as they come. I have seen Slaton, K. Jones, Heygood, and D. Peoples is in that class of elite RB.
I hope he isn’t dicouraged by this, bc this does diminish anything he’s done.

  20. @Lehigh Valley you really think hardin gis better than Nosovitch or any other D1 kid? I have heard that he is not even being recruited by scholarship FCS only non scolarship. Nosovitch was just named a parade all american

  21. Harding? He had a great year, but he is a Division 2 or 3 kid, patriot league at best. I would take skylar over him as well as Manny Stocker, Perry Hills, Matt Johns. He is a very good HS qb who has awful mechanics. He does not belong in this game.
