Why We Built iQSports

When I started iQSports, I wasn’t thinking about software or business models — I was thinking like a coach. I’ve been on the sidelines, watching games unfold, and I know the scramble of trying to understand what’s really happening in the game at a deeper level than just “They’re doing whatever they want” or “We can’t make a play”.

For most high schools, that means a clipboard, a couple of assistants, and a whole lot of guesswork. By the time you sit down with film on Sunday, the game has already been over – for over 24 hours.

That gap — between what happens on the field and when coaches can actually act on it — is what iQSports was created for and dedicated to solving.

Making Analytics Accessible

For years, high-level programs have had access to expensive tools, tracking systems, and large staffs to analyze and crunch the numbers. Most high school programs, on the other hand, are usually stretched extremely thin — coaches wearing one too many hats, limited budgets, and not enough hours in the day.

iQSports is our answer to that. We’ve built a platform that gives coaches real-time insights without the hefty price tag. Our mission is simple: make meaningful data accessible to all programs, not just the ones with college-sized budgets.

What We Offer

  • Live, In-Game Data: Staff can log plays as they happen, and the system immediately furnishes tendencies — down-and-distance trends, run/pass splits, and other key insights.
  • Seamless Film Integration: Because most programs already use Hudl, we’ve designed iQSports to connect directly. That way, as you’re tracking your plays in-game – you’re also breaking down your film that will be exportable post-game, saving you hours of time.
  • Roster & Playbook Management: One platform to keep track of your roster, individual stats, and playcall data, so your data and your strategy live in the same place.
  • Situational Analysis: We go beyond totals. Coaches have access to multiple reports and multiple filters to gain an unprecedented look at their program at any point during the game or season.
  • And most importantly, we’ve built this to be affordable. We know what high school athletic budgets look like, and we designed iQSports so every program — big or small — has a shot at better analytics.

Why This Matters

At the end of the day, iQSports isn’t just about numbers. It’s about giving coaches the chance to make better decisions in the moment, to teach more effectively, and to level the playing field for programs that might not have access to high-end resources.

We’re here because we believe every team deserves access to quality analytics, not just the ones with the biggest budgets.

That’s who we are: a company born on the sidelines, built for coaches, and focused on making advanced football analytics accessible to every program.
