What game(s) are you going to attend week one? Break down the matchup of your game.

I will be covering the Downingtown East vs. Allentown Central Catholic game. It will be interesting to see ACC’s offensive/defensive line. Can they contain Drew Harris? Any one else going to this one?

We will be covering about 20 games this first week!

  1. go see eugene lewis (wyoming valley west ) at scranton word is he is going to play receiver alot this year best playmaker in all northeast p.a.

  2. Hazleton Area @ Abington Heights

It will be interesting to see how newly named head coach Jim Drumheller has prepared this team, especially with a brutal schedule. The open the season @ AH,then have Williamsport at home and travel to Deleware Valley in week three. Cougars should be way better this year from last.

Their QB is returning as a three year starter, and some key skill players and lineman return on both sides of the ball. Hopefully Coach Drumheller can relite that fire that burned bright under Coach Rocco Petrone for 10 years.

  3. I will be attending the J.P McCaskey & Coatesville games. Both teams have very good skill people should be a good game..

  4. The Penncrest-Rustin game should be good…Rick Stroup making his coaching debut with Penncrest against a high-powered Rustin offense….Should be an intriging game.

  5. I play for Tamaqua and we’re playing JT next Friday. Thorpe lost 23 seniors and Tamaqua has four returning linemen and a tailback with a 4.44 40 yard time so it probably won’t be a great matchup.

  6. I’m going to watch Lansdale Catholic against Perkiomen Valley. LC won last year’s game with a 4th quarter goal line stand. I don’t think that either team will be a powerhouse this year, but their games are always entertaining.

  7. Southern Columbia vs Line Mountain…Last season’s opener was a strange game. LM opened up with a 21-0 first quarter lead until SCA ripped off 49 unanswered points to beat LM 49-21. The Tigers then beat LM in the District 4 title game. Even with the loss of the Tigers RB Thomas, they still have loads of talent in guys like Moore, Fegley, Schetroma, Flore, Levan, Day, etc…Prediction: SCA 35 LM 14

  8. As good as Wood is this year if they beat PCC it will be considered an upset. PCC has just as many D1 players and more depth. I think it will be a close game.

  9. Archbishop Wood vs. Gateway should be a thriller… I am picking wood due to their large amount of division players including the peoples(Rutgers/Temple) and Colin Thompson (Florida)

  10. Shamokin vs. Mifflinnburg…As a former mifflinburg player I see my ala mater doing very well this season with the return of alex vidunas at QB and connor pierce at WR. Shamokin from what I understand still has their big O-line and D-line, which was a problem last year. But I expect this year the cats’ to avenge lasts years loss with an early win. My prediction 27-13 in favor of mifflinburg.

  11. Garnet Valley vs. Unionville….Watch out for Garnet Valley this year…They’re gonna surprise some people

  12. Line Mountain @ Southern Columbia.
Line Mountain is looking for some revenge after losing only to the Tigers since late 2009. If the Tigers prevail it will be the fourth time in a row of beating an otherwise undefeated Eagles team.

  13. I’ll be at LaSalle/North Penn. LaSalle brings back quite abit. QB, receivers. Their major lost is that running back from last year ( Rachman I believe). But they should be solid. NP lost their entire backfield ( except QB), which means they lost their entire defensive backfield also. On paper, LaSalle should win. I’m predicting an upset here: NP: 24, LaSalle: 21
