PHILADELPHIA — Another member of the Harrison family is headed to Columbus.
St. Joseph’s Prep wide receiver Jett Harrison, one of the nation’s premier prospects in the Class of 2028, announced his commitment to Ohio State on Wednesday, continuing a family tradition that has become synonymous with elite wide receiver play.
Harrison follows in the footsteps of his older brother, Marvin Harrison Jr., who starred for the Buckeyes before becoming a first-round NFL Draft selection. He is also the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison Sr., making Ohio State the latest stop in one of football’s most accomplished family legacies.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound playmaker has quickly established himself as one of Pennsylvania’s top young talents. Harrison has already earned national recognition for his polished route running, reliable hands, and ability to create explosive plays after the catch.
Recruiting services rank him among the nation’s top prospects, and his offer list featured many of college football’s biggest programs before he ultimately chose the Buckeyes.
Harrison’s commitment extends the pipeline from St. Joseph’s Prep to Ohio State. The Philadelphia powerhouse has produced several Buckeyes over the years, including Marvin Harrison Jr., quarterback Kyle McCord, Maxwell Roy, and Isaiah West. Ohio State’s reputation as “Wide Receiver U” also played a significant role, with the Buckeyes continuing to develop elite receivers into NFL stars.
As a sophomore last season, Harrison showcased why he’s considered one of the country’s elite young receivers, producing 20 touchdown receptions while consistently making game-changing plays against top competition. His combination of size, speed, body control, and football IQ has made him one of the most coveted recruits in the nation.
As he continues his career at St. Joseph’s Prep, expectations will remain high, but Harrison has already shown he possesses the talent and pedigree to thrive on college football’s biggest stage. With his commitment now behind him, Harrison can turn his full attention toward helping St. Joseph’s Prep pursue another championship while continuing to develop into one of the nation’s premier wide receiver prospects before eventually making his way to Columbus.
