Coaches comments: Sean can do it all as you can see from his statistics. He is not only a ball carrier, but an excellent receiver, return specialist and linebacker. Sean is also an extremely tough and physical football player on both sides of the ball. As a ball carrier he got stronger as the year went on and made his presence felt the most in clutch situations. A lot of his 2,000 yards rushing came in playoffs and the end of the season. 2024 was Sean’s first year starting varsity and earned several deserving awards!

I so enjoy watching Sean Steckert play football for Southern Leigh. When watching the team play I hear and see Sean do amazing plays for the team. Sean is 100% a team player. Always supporting his fellow team members. I have spoken to Sean over the summer and we discussed what pumps him up during the games, his answer was the band. They give the best background support that these young people need while on the field. I can’t wait for this season football season. GO SPARTAN!!! GO SEAN!
