NFF & College Hall of Fame Lehigh Valley Chapter

frossNORTHAMPTON – The National Football Foundation & The College Hall of Fame of the Lehigh Valley Chapter announced their Hall of Fame inductees for the May 3rd dinner at Northampton Community Center in Northampton.

The Cocktail hour will begin at 5:30pm followed by dinner being served at 6:30pm. Tickets can be purchased for $30.00 each by calling Keith Newhard at 610-799-6552 or Ed Watto at 570-839-9831.

With this induction, these men will have their names inscribed permanently at the NFF Hall of Fame in South Bend, Indiana.

Fred Ross roamed the sidelines for 42 years at Stroudsburg from 1969 to 2010. Ross won 13 conference championships.

Jim Tkach coached for 17 seasons at Palmerton and Northern Lehigh with a career record of 101-69-4. At Northern Lehigh in 12 seasons he had a 90-30 record including a trip to Hershey in the 2003 Class AA championship game against Aliquippa.

At Easton high school, Robert Shriver coached from 1980 to 1992. His teams won 105 games and jtkachlost 50 and two ties. The 1986 and 1987 squads played 19 consecutive games without a defeat or tie to set a school record.

Don Clemons was an assistant coach with the Detroit Lions and after 27 years and nine different coaching regimes he called it a career. He also coached at Northampton.

John Marcante is the former offensive run coordinator, offensive line coach, and strength coach of Parkland High School.

Bob Clark was Southern Lehigh’s first football coach. He initiated the football program and served as its head coach from 1969 to 1986 and returned for his second stint as the head coach at Southern Lehigh from 1990 to 1994.
