The installements of Funkster’s Fab 40 statewide rankings following Weeks 1-16 include the team, geographic district, overall season record and the previous week’s result. Teams listed as honorable mentions are arranged in numerical order by geographic district. To save space, team records for those listed as honorable mentions are not published.

    Couldn’t agree with Doug Smith more.
    Chiappazzi should not venture into territory he has no knowledge. His ignorance relegates his reporting to nothing more than mis-information.

    What does Andrew Chiappazzi really know about the Eastern teams? He is a WPIAL guy, remember they invented football….What a JOKE!!!

    Why pay when you get your information free on this site.

    Preconceived positive or negative thoughts about a school should never come into play when the game results should be the primary determinant. To show such an asinine bias does a disservice to high school football reporting and only accentuates the ignorance of the perpetrator doing the reporting.

    I just came from PAPREPS.com and their latest rankings. Neshaminy(District 1) had been #3 in their state and dropped to #11 this week because in the words of its publisher Andrew Chiappazzi they were not only defeated, 35-21, BUT run-over by an Abington(District 1) team who controlled much of the game.
    YET ABINGTON, WHO IS PRESENTLY 4-0, WAS NOT EVEN LISTED IN HIS FINE FIFTEEN RANKINGS. WHAT A JOKE!
    How do so called football prognosticators arrive at their results. It is obvious they do not use game results as their main criteria as a determinant in judging the better team but on past reputations, results in previous seasons and their own prejudicial rationale. I have never been a fan of football polling during the season and the above infomation is the reason. To think one has to pay to subscribe to PAPREPS.com, a website of bias mis-information, is unbelievable.
