District 11 Top Returning Players, 2014 preseason chart and 2013 record breakers

Pre-season notes: 

On the pre-season chart I have the three players that had the credentials to be on the chart but are not playing this season.  The first player is Nazareth’s runningback Jordan Gray.  Gray ends his career with 3,896 yard rushing and scored 56 total touchdowns.  Gray will fall 471 yards and 2 td’s short of breaking the school records of Chuck Dibilio.  Dibilio had 4,366 career rushing yards and scored 57 touchdowns from 2008-10.  The second player is Stroudsburg’s quarterback Mike Nikorak.  Nikorak ends his career with 2,278 yards passing and 24 td passes.  Nikorak will fall 599 yards and 5 td passes short of Pat Rinard’s school records.  Rinard threw for 2,868 yards and 28 td passes from 1984-86.  Nikorak is considered the number #1 high school pitching recruit with a fastball that topped out at 97 mph.  Nikorak is scheduled to attend Alabama next year.  The third player is Pottsville’s wide receiver Travis Blankenhorn.  Blankenhorn ends his career with 64 receptions for 1,211 yards and 8 td’s.  Blankenhorn totaled 800 yards receiving on 37 receptions last year to finish with the second best single season at Pottsville for reception yardage.  Jim Murphy set school records as a junior in 1979 when he had 63 receptions for 821 yards.  Murphy was to old to play in his senior year.  Blankenhorn is scheduled to attend the University of Kentucky next year and play baseball.  I will remove these players from the chart, starting with the week 1.  They will remain on the pre-season chart)
