Massive two-way lineman chooses the Great Danes to continue his football career

COATESVILLE – Coatesville rising senior CJ Miller announced his commitment to the University at Albany, giving the Great Danes a dominant presence in the trenches for the future. Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 340 pounds, Miller has developed into one of the most physically imposing linemen in the Keystone State. His combination of size, strength, and athleticism made him a coveted FCS prospect, and he ultimately selected UAlbany over another Division I offer from UMass.

A multi-year starter for the Red Raiders, Miller has been a cornerstone on both the offensive and defensive lines. His ability to control the line of scrimmage has helped Coatesville remain among the top programs in Pennsylvania’s highest classification.

During the 2025 season, Miller played a key role in leading the Red Raiders to the District 1 playoffs, where they battled Pennridge in one of the postseason’s most memorable games. With a strong core of returning talent, Coatesville is expected to once again contend for a District 1 championship and make a run at the PIAA Class 6A title in 2026.

Miller’s recruiting profile has steadily risen thanks to his rare physical tools. His long wingspan, overwhelming power at the point of attack, and versatility to play multiple offensive line positions have made him an ideal fit for the college game. Scouts have praised his ability to move defenders in the run game while anchoring effectively in pass protection.

For University of Albany, Miller represents another significant addition to a program that continues to recruit Pennsylvania aggressively. His size and upside give the Great Danes a lineman capable of developing into an impact player at the FCS level.

With his college future secured, Miller can now focus on making his final high school season one to remember while continuing the tradition of producing Division I talent at Coatesville High School.
