Terrell Chestnut, Senior QB/FS, Pottsgrove Area, burst onto the scene as a freshman with 67 tackles and nine interceptions. He added a few more dimensions to his game as a sophomore. He ran for 1,226 yards and 21 touchdowns.  Hw threw for 935 yards and eight more scores, and racked up 89 tackles and a pair of interceptions and fumble recoveries on defense.

Last season, Chestnut, rushed for nearly 1,000 yards and scored 19 touchdowns as the Falcons went 14-1, claimed the Pioneer Athletic Conference championship and won the program’s first PIAA District 1 Class AAA title.

The 6-foot, 180-pound senior, a quarterback and defensive back, had narrowed his college choices to Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, West Virginia and South Carolina.

He now becomes the second PA Player to select Pitt in the last 24 hours.  Chestnut now joins standout running back Jameel Poteat at Pitt.
