Tim Moncman stepped down today as head coach at Bethlehem Liberty. Moncman coached 11 seasons at Liberty with a 88-36 career record.

He is resigning to focus on his family. His 4-year old son AJ was born with Leber’s Congenital Amaurosis, a degenerative eye disease that causes blindness.

His football team played in the state final in 2005, 2006 and 2008 and won the Class 4A title in 2008. Moncman was named coach of the year by EasternPAFootball.com in 2006 and 2008. Moncman previously coached at Southern Lehigh.
