Head Coach Tim Savage Q&A

 

Q. What are the key things we should know about your offense?

A. 2014 offense will be multiple spread sets along with two back pro-sets. We will maintain a very balanced attacking scheme.

Nick Rodichock will be our starting quarterback with a few winning starts under his belt from last season.  Our skills will be very deep with the best team speed in my tenure.

Cody Miller will highlight the wide receiver group while Matt Miller will lead a stable of varsity capable running backs.  We will look to average in the 40pts per game area as in the past two seasons.

The offensive line will be comprised of all previous starters. Damian Shoop will lead this unit from a hindrance in 2013 to our strength in 2014.

 

Q. What are the key things we should know about your defense?

A. 2014 Defense will see the return of six starters.  Overall defensive team speed will improve along with the avg size and strength of the interior line.

All-County DB Matt Miller will move to linebacker. Tackles JJ Cox, Hero Sasaki, Damian Shoop, and Ian Minnich will anchor the D-Line.

Twin freshman brothers Dylan & Devon Rabuck are strong contenders to be mainstays at the D-End positions.

Albert Wolfgang will lead the defense from his inside linebacker position.

 

Q. What are the key things we should know about your special teams? Who are your kick and punt returners? Who are your kicker and punter?

A. Special teams have plenty of room for improvement in 2014.

Soccer player Stephen Hill will bolster our kicking tremendously from PAT’s to field goals.

The punter is yet to be determined.

Returners will be Ryan Harris and Garrett Zimmerman.

We are very exciting and very young, but athletic and fast at skill positions. All projected starters on the offensive line have all started games in 2013.

We have impact players in the incoming freshman class.
