  1. Yo Football fan! You still here? I don’t expect a reply .

I said they were good, then you went on a rant about how great they were, so I did a bit of research and said they wouldn’t go far because they played a weak schedule… Oops I was right!.

If you wanna see a good game head to Pennsybury, the winner of that game will win D1.

On a side not a team that you said played a bad D1 schedule just blanked Coatseville 31 to 0 and held them to 27 passing yards an like 75 rushing yards. Not bad for a average team. I’m sure Worley would have made a difference!

  2. Also @ joker1 Rustin has only been in existence for about 10 years with the first year only fielding a JV team I believe. They started out at AAA going as far as the district finals. For a school only starting up 10 years ago in a town divided by three HIgh Schools for no real reason, and about half the size of NP I’d say they have been doing pretty darn good.

If West Chester had one school one could argue that they’d compete for a state title almost every year. They have 3 High Schools for one town

  3. haha not a chance they lose to perkiomen valley. if they lose i would say pennsbury would be the team to do it. cant help what teams in your division do. just know they are a great football team and can play with anyone in the district this year

  4. @Jive
Your comment on the “same interest in D1 as D7” got me thinking a bit. Last season, many of us posting these threads were concerned pre-championships with a possible West sweep; remember? Thanks to Wyomissing in 2A, it didn’t happen. I guess this season no one has that concern; figuring we have pretty good odds in Imhotep in 2A, and the survivor of LaSalle-St. Joe’s in 4A; and maybe Southern Columbia in 1A. And then there is Wood in 3A also; of course, providing they all GET THERE! But, there are some big boys out west again that are 10-0 and have been here before, and with winning records in the finals. Could be some dynamite finals this season.

  5. @jiveturkey All you did with the numbers is prove NP’s D1 schedule was similar to Rustin’s. Neither one was great, but it does not mean Rustin did not play some good teams because they didn’t play a great team. NP played 3 very good to great teams outside of D1 and didn’t even come close so even mentioning that they were on their schedule really has no relevance. Say what you want about the Chesmont but three of the 4 teams in that league are hosting games tonight including NP on the road at Coatesville.

@MK Unionville has 2 losses on their schedule. One to 1 seed Garnet Valley and the other to 2 seed Rustin. Oxford was a good but not great team this season. Unionville’s QB is the real deal. They had trouble stopping Loper so I doubt they can stop Pollard for Neshaminy tonight so they better out score them.

@Joker1 Perk Valley does seem like everyone’s upset special but Rustin has been getting picked to lose in all their big games this year by the so called experts. These experts in hs football like us just look at box scores and draw conclusions. And most of them go with the teams that represent their region. Rustin is better than people think, but they did draw one of the tougher matchups in the 1st round because Perk Valley’s Rasaan Stewart is such a Dynamic Do all QB/athlete. Rustin starts with Loper but it def doesn’t end there. This team can run, pass, and plays stingy dfense. This is why the games are played.

  6. Breaking news for easton 2 starters will be in street clothes tonight at wyoming valley west team has already left for game could u name them dist 11 fans??????????????????

  7. @football fan,
I honestly don’t have any interest in D1. I don’t live in that district, so to me I have the same interest as I would in D7. The only reason I kinda track it, is to see who D12 will get in the semi-final. Rustin should be happy with the AAA teams they play. Without them, and their records, the opponent winning percentage would be almost laughable. Hey, I wish Rustin the best of luck. No ill will at all, just pointing out the obvious.

  8. @football fan.

    Numbers never lie.

Your team won’t be around in a few weeks and you can become a real football fan!

BTW- North Penn is 26 Wins and 4 losses in D1 playoff games over the last 12 years. What has Rustin’s done?

I read 3 articles last night that questions Rustin’s schedule and 2 have them losing. Ha….

Jive gave it to you straight. I’d say Rustin would be .500 if they played NP schedule this year.

Talk to you after your 1st round lose tonight.

  9. @MK unionville got a good offense great qb play. wouldnt be suprised if they go to neshaminy and leave with the win. @joker1 we can talk more in a few weeks. @jiveturkey numbers are numbers put them on the field together see what happens. NP plays AAAA schools rustin cant help they play AAA schools its the division their in. you put rustin in the national division i still say they would be undefeated coatesville would have 2 losses and downingtown west wouldnt be in the playoffs right now. Go watch Rustin play sometime im sure you havent seen them in person yet

  10. @Jim B funny just saw in the paper this morning that from 1995 to 1998 it was a sub regional with D11, and then for a few years i think 2003 to 2006 with d4. why they got away from it i dont know, but what you said makes a lot of sence

  11. @football fan,
I had to take a look to see how accurate your comment is. Before I give you the numbers, let me visit the D-town East thing. They may have been supposed to be good, but they weren’t, 4-6.

Rustin opponents were a combined 44-46.
Against AAAA opponents they were 22-39.
Rustin opponents were all D1, I’m pretty sure.

North Penn opponents were a combined 53-36.
Against AAAA opponents they were 39-33.
NP did open with 3 D12 teams and played 7 D1.

    NP D1 opponents were 30-30, .500%
WCR D1 opponents were 44-46, not 500%, but close.
    NP D1 opponents against AAAA 26-29, .472%
    WCR D1 opponents against AAAA 22-39, .360%.

Tell me again who had the stronger schedule? I’m a D12 guy, so I have no dog in this fight. However, like the saying goes, numbers never lie.

  12. @ football fan

throwing Oxford in there doesn’t help your case much, when u are talking about Rustin’s tough schedule considering the fact that U’ville put 70 points on the board against them last week.

  13. @Football fan…

I am struggling to take anything you said the last 72 hours seriously. Are you that delusional!

You know nothing … I REPEAT…. Nothing about North Penn, if CB West was that good, why was it 50 to 14, 35 seconds into the 2nd half? Or is NP that good? Can’t be both!!!

You keep trying your best to put NP down, bla…bla…bla.

They have been in this rodeo going deep into D1 and played in the state championships for the last 11 years.

It’s not old news, it’s relevant … The NP seniors won D1 and went to Hershey,

Please stop the babble about them playing a C-ville team with Worley.. Get over it Rustin wont make it!

  14. @jive turkey rustin D1 schedule was stronger than NP henderson was a solid team even if they are AAA. oxford was better this year as was great valley. they also played downingtown east who was suppose to be good like they always are. NP had cb west thats it. @joker1 your right but your talking about the past this is the present. Im just saying rustin will go further than NP this year. I really wanted to see Rustin play a healthy coatesville with worley against that stingy rustin defense but wont happen

  15. @raiderfan24/7

relax this team and all 16 teams will give their best effort Friday night. Just remember Cville seniors are a proud group. If they go down it will be with a fight. they been there before.just like in other blogs on here NP did not play anybody but the first 3 games and got crushed. It should be a great game. All 8 games are great matchups.Everybody just remember Downingtown East last year.High School kids anything can happen.

  16. Markd
Yea, I think a d2/d4 AAA subregional makes a lot a sense. This year the D4 AAA bracket has three 5-5 teams, and one 4-6 team.

I think the best format is to have the top two teams from D2 and the top two teams from D4, and then four wildcards. Wildcards, of course based on state points.

  17. Word am getting from C’ville camp is that they don’t have much confidence. Worley was more then just a great player on this team. He was their leader in many ways. their QB is definitley back that should help a little. Hope it’s a good game. Don’t like their chances though.

  18. Like I said before, I’m not a D1 guy and don’t really know much about the teams. I look at scores and schedules for all of the info I get. I have to ask a question about Council Rock North. How in the world can anybody say “they have momentum”, when they lost 42-8 three weeks ago? Does winning 2 close games, over 2 teams with a combined 6-14 record, constitute momentum?

  19. Garnett Valley Is On Upset Alert! Crn Has Some Momentum Coming In And Have Had More Than Enough Close Games This Year. Gv Hasn’ Had Close Games And If Their Losing In The Second Half They Might Be In trouble

  20. ESS playing Post Season in D11 will not get past week 2, they’ll be lucky to get by Scranton. Scranton Prep and Abington Heights are good not great teams and won’t get past game 2. Sorry, but that’s the real deal.

  21. @Ron yes if they can get past Abington.to be honest i havent seen Berwick play this year,i have had people tell me that neither Prep or Abington can handle Berwick passing game.If it is Prep it will be interesting to see how they match up up frount.
@Jim B if they did make D2-4 AAA a subregional how would you break it down Six from D2 and 2 from D4 for a 8 team play off? the D4 teams would never get enough points on the curret point system unless they had a lot more cross over games with D2 and 11. it not a bad idea if you can work a fair system.
