  1. @ray,
Over the years I have done numerous experiments regarding HS students and steroids. In my findings, I have come to one absolute conclusion. All steroid users take their steroids before English class. This causes said student to have a whole lot of extra energy during that class. Long term effects are run-on sentences and lack of punctuation, commas and periods do not appear in their writings. My most recent experiment was on 11/4/13 at 10:20am. I found my research to be 100% accurate in that case. If I come up with anything else, I’ll be sure to report it.

  2. @Facts,
I never said D12 playoffs were not part of the PIAA playoff bracket. In fact, I said the complete opposite. You can go back and read my comments on this 10/30 8:52pm. Hope that clears up my stance on this issue for you.

  3. @Ray Easton 2 loses were a close game to Emmaus 14-7 and whitehall beat them 31-14.Easton better come ready to play WVW can be explosive.Dont sleep on Scranton either with McCarthy they can be a hand full for anyone.

  4. hi stumbled onto this website i love high school football probably have seen 1000 games over the years i wonder if anyone else believes that there is a steroid influence in high school football at this time i believe there is i don’t like it because these are young guys and it certainly creates an unfair advantage and increases the possibility of injury i don’t believe it is rampant but it will be because the have nots will be forced to compete on the same level thank you

  5. @David Mika or Kevin

Sorry to use this thread right now, as I know how busy you are, but I could not negotiate the computer-ese to get a direct eMail to Kevin through the site contact method. Just two things on the Class AA state champions listing. One, was Mount Carmel really D11 in 1994 as posted? And I get a 16-9 east-west wins total; while the posting has 17-8 east-west? The answers are important to my research on the past 25 state championships. Thank you for a great HSF website.

  6. @raiderfan24/7, all you’ve posted about for 2the weeks now is Worley’s injury. It’s football; next man up. Shame for Worley but it’s history and past time to let it go.

  7. @ Facts

Do we really need to keep this going just so you can TRY to win an argument. Well your wrong again.
    Example.
Future is in the public playoffs. They lost to IC in the semi final and if you look at the D12 A playoffs, you will see Future. Once again proving that league champs doesn’t count towards districts in this case or Future would be eliminated. Your splash is similar to throwing a grain of sand in ocean. Keep trying.
Ohh BTW. Why do you continue to avoid my FACT that losing the T-Day game does not get you ELIMINATED! That was the most important Fact that you avoided because it doesn’t play into your little argument. You should really change your name to FACKS because you don’t give any Facts.

  8. @tsaf…

Ive been following your posts. I agree with many of you points. In a perfect world all districts will start their playoffs the same weekend under the same point systems. Its just not gonna happen bud. There are just to many variables for it to happen that way. If the PIAA said tomorrow..”starting next year this is the system everyone will use”…no exceptions”…you would have districts bailing all over the place. I think the PIAA sets up the bracket while trying to keep in mind every districts wishes. Should there be tweaks? no doubt! But all things considered there is just no cut and dry way to set these brackets up.

  9. Allow me to reiterate, the T-Day game does not count but it is a game nevertheless. By your definition Tsaff, a bye is beneficial because you can rest players and not have injuries. Well, check IC stats from last year, they played their starters in their T-day game and did not rest anyone. So your theory does not hold water by your definition of whats the advantage of a bye is. Their pub playoff run is counted against the piaa run, thereby it being added to the bracket and the reality that all ranking points are not calculated.

  10. @tsaff and Jive

Where did you get the info that the Pub and Cath league playoff tourney is not a part of the piaa bracket? If its not, why is it, and always been, on the official piaa state playoff bracket? The reason I ask is because District officials state its apart of the playoff run which gives the D12 the same amount of games as everyone else. Check the brackets for yourself.. As matter of fact, the T-day game gives IC more games (8) to play in 2A chip then any other team. Check for yourself and respond back. District officials says those games count thats why they are on the bracket..

    Splash!!

  11. OK, gotcha Dave.

I guess I was looking for the actual brackets, not just the ratings.

I know #15 plays #2 for example, but if #15 wins, who would they ( be one of 2 teams) play next?

I’m sure you’ll have the brackets posted by tomorrow.

  12. @ David Mika

Appreciate the site. You asked about anything we would like. Was thinking how about a list of the scores of the games each week as soon as they’re available Fri. and Sat. True, it’s possible to go to the team schedules and find out scores that way but it’s too much work to do that for all the teams. ….or is there already a place on the site that lists each week’s scores and I’m totally missing it? Thanks.

  13. @Jive

All I tried to do was debate the PIAA issue. No disrespect to the teams because I know if IC had to play another game against an AA team from D1 or D12 they would win 99% of the time. Just want to see all teams travel the same path, with only advantage being a higher seed and not a bye because the PIAA won’t take the time to figure out how to make league champs relevant and other items left out.

  14. @JimB, Fleetwood is a fairly balanced team, QB is Koenig, 57% completion rate, 1300+ yards, 8TD 7 INT, top target Webb has 28 catches averaging 11.2 yards. Running back Emge 9TD and close to 1,000 yards. All stats prior to game 10 which they won big over Kutztown. Another good player is Morgan Shigo on defense. They average 172 passing and 149 rushing, give up 220 rushing and 102 passing. They lost to Berks Catholic and Wyomissing in their section, lost a cross over game to Conrad Weiser. Should be a decent game.

  16. @OL Coach

You are late to the party.
You don’t follow logic? What is not logical behind what I stated? Don’t insult me when you can’t comprehend simplistic concepts of playoffs.
I said IC made choice to play a T-Day game. They face no chance of elimination if they lose that game, they have a BYE because they do not play a playoff game that following weekend.
I also said that there are teams that will play a T-Day game (again, their choice) and a playoff game 2 days later (which ia a game they can be eliminated from). Hence, 3 games in 8 days.
What you didn’t comprehend about my post is the issue with the PIAA. I just used IC as an example.
