  1. Please dont mention Imhotap in the same sentence as Wood, Prep, and LaSalle. Not even close. They play in the worse league in the state. They played one real football team last year and got crushed. They are the best in the Philadelphia Public League AA. Which means they are the best of the lowest in the worst league.

  2. expect lots of shake ups in district 3 and 4
    fresh from the grape vine

first out of district 3 watch out for the
    BIGLERVILLE CANNERS
they have most of their starters back and 3 O/D
    lineman who are 6-3 6-6 and a whopping 6-8
and who go 280 and 290 and can move
with many players attending the PENN STATE
football camps this year this team will make
noise as they roll over everyone in the
York Adams League and possible states
they have a soild QB who can run and gun and a tailback who had a SHOCKING 4.3 IN THE 40
at camp PENN STATE this is truely going to be an
    outstanding year for the canners
good luck coach Alex and team

onto District 4 expect tough games with
Shikellamy the Braves will give everyone a run for their money with tons of returning talent and with coach todd doing well in command
the Braves will be the team to beat in AAA
    in district 4

  3. @???? Imhotep had all these D1 guys last year too and all we heard about is how they were going to roll to a state title and they didn’t even get there. D12 is such an overrated district. Granted Lasalle, Prep, Wood, Imhotep and West Catholic are all extremely good. But that is 5 teams in 3 classes and the rest of the district is awful. I could fill 5 teams with 1.5 million people in the city and philadelphia metro area population of about 5 million people.

  4. D-11…AA-Catasauqua returns a heap of skill position players from a team that was undefeated in the regular season.

AAAA-Every year just assume Easton who returns Shane Simpson and Parkland who always reloads. Liberty has an interesting team, as they meet SC in their opener. That will tell a ton about their team.

  5. District 2
    Big school
    1. Berwick
    2. Abington Heights
    3. Wyoming Valley West
    4. Crestwood
    5. Scranton

    Small School
    1. Dunmore
    2. Old Forge
    3. Lakeland
    4. Lake Lehman

  6. Highly doubt football (and basketball) get cut in the Philly School district. I can see the other sports though.

  7. @?????????, I don’t know if you follow anything other than Imhotep football. In case you do not, I have some info for you. The Philadelphia school district has a $300M deficit and is looking to eliminate sports first. There may be no season to see how it comes out. I hope it doesn’t happen because I enjoyed seeing Imhotep get crushed in their first game against a real football team. (No disrespect meant to AA public league).

  8. IMHOTEP 2015 WR/ATH DENISTON MOORE HAS RECIEVED A FULL RIDE TO TEMPLE. IMHOTEPS 2015 RB NASIR BONNER HOLDS 4 D1 OFFERS UCONN, WISCONSON, UMASS, AND WEST VIRGINIA

IMHOTEP HAS A HAND FULL OF D1 ATHLETES CAN’T WAIT TO SEE HOW THE SEASON COMES OUT!!!!!

  9. Bigman….Riverside was expected to have a big year last year and disappointed. They lose a lot of talent but they have a couple key players back. Munley is a good WR and they have a 4 year starter on the O line. Looking at their schedule, I’ll say 4-6 or 5-5. Losses to Dunmore, Old Forge, Honesdale, West Scranton, Lakeland and North Pocono is a toss up

  10. to Bigmanl

Riverside just like Lakeland always steps
it up no matter what talent is returning
however I do believe the vikes have lots of
returning starters so things should be solid
    good luck 2013
LOL just not against us Chiefs
also I hear Old Forge has plenty of talent
returning as well which will make your never
    ending rivalry even better…but the
class A team to watch will be the Bucks of Dunmore
yes they lost their QB and I think 3 linemen
but they have their clutch running back returning
in Buckley he is fast and strong
expect Lackawanna Trail to make noise too..
for Lakeland I’m not sure who will be making noise in AA…..
    As always GO CHIEFS

  11. Regarding the Prep’s opener, never heard of that particular high school but I’m sure they can ball if they’re from Dallas. In my opinion the three best high school football cities in the nation are Cincinnati, Miami and Dallas.

  12. Whats your guys opinion on the Riverside Vikings this year? They have had lots of talent in the past.Do you think they will have a good season? What players do we have watch for on Riverside?

  13. With Hollenbach coming to Pennridge I predict Pennridge will have no more than one loss, possibly to North Penn.

  14. congrats to the
    LAKELAND CHIEFS BASEBALL TEAM

Winning the District 2 AA CHAMPIONSHIP

    LAKELAND 6
    MID VALLEY 0

Best of luck in the state playoffs
    GO CHIEFS

  15. To anyone :?????

Any word on how Bergen Catholic NJ
    will look this year ?
I know years past they were a POWERHOUSE
    with rival DON BOSCO

  16. @philly, They are playing Dallas Jesuit on Friday the 30th at Jesuit. Then head to Bosco. First couple of weeks should be interesting for them. If their O line comes together they will be just as good or if not better the 2012.

  17. @philly, not sure who in Texas, pretty sure they will be in Dallas. Sent a text to confirm the Bosco game and the response was something to the effect of, gonna be a tough one cause were in Dallas the week before. I’m not a Prep fan, however, I have to respect what I think they are going to be this season.

  18. @ markd

Pretty sure SJP/Bosco game will be in Ramsey, NJ.

    @ JiveTurkey9

I didn’t know that the Prep is going to Texas for their first game. Who are they going to play?

  19. Hey Markd
thanks and good luck to your team as well
and to SuperTramp lol I hear ya brah
good luck to your team too keep healthy

besides being a strong fan of Lakeland
I also support the BERWICK BULLDAWGS
I have lots of respect for Legendary Coach
GEORGE CURRY truly a coaching legend
so happy he is coaching HIS DAWGS again
on his return last season leading the
Dawgs to the AAA district championship game .
this year I predict deep into states for
the Dawgs ….good luck coach Curry and
your BERWICK BULLDAWGS bring back STATE TITLE
    TOWN !!!!!!…….
    as always GO LAKELAND CHIEFS!!!!
