  1. @ Jive,
I wasn’t going to bring it up. I read his post 3 times, unfamiliar to the language in which he speaks?? Have a nice ‘Tuesdae’ brother..
Going forward, tntc mistakes made that are correctable with time and effort. I believe both teams earned the respect of each other, as well of their future opponents viewing the potential havoc both will bring.

  2. In the last 4 match ups including scrimmages we have given up 154 points and scored 56. Remove the Jesuit Dallas game and the numbers drop to 126 to 14.

Statistically, NP has a chance regardless of our speed.

If we finally put it all together I don’t think NP has a chance but my prediction still has a chance.

  3. @littleguyscoach they look more disciplined this year. Probably doesn’t hurt having that many starters returning.

  4. @ Paul from Philly

TEP is a very fast team agree that dimension is speed. I think the offensive live is overrated, yes they are big but slow. Ted Silary had TEP with 166 yards rushing, not sure what game Armand was watching with his stats. LaSalle was much smaller and younger and playing without their best player in Franklin but held their own. A lot of the yardage came on 3 big runs. To me judging the TEP OL comes from their XPs play. 2 Blocks and 1 for 3 on tries for 2 and the one they made was a pass. From the OL hype you would think getting 3 yards would be a walk in the park. Guess not.

    @ HS FB Fan

Not sure what happened on those 3 big pass plays. Watching the highlights of the plays shows they were in man coverage. Anyone would know that would not work. Switched it up in the second half and added some speed to the secondary with Michmem. That worked as TEP did not have a first down until the middle of the 4th quarter.

In general it would have been nice to win but seeing the team play and all the young guys getting in it is good to know that Phillyboy will have something to complain about for a couple more years. This is a good team that will be back in the Eastern Final come December.

TEP is a great team, their best player on Saturday was the QB for sure. Should walk through AA. But then everyone said the same thing last year.

  5. @ 17th & G

No shot at 1-2 prediction. A win for NP would be staying within 4 touchdowns of SJP. Prep doesn’t have Wood’s size, but they are faster. We all know what happened in Wood – NP game. NP lacks team speed in a big way and will not be able to compete with SJP. Bosco is obviously a great team but part of the blowout can be attributed to the letdown from the Dallas Jesuit trip.

  6. Take a scroll back to post 147 today or August 28th.

    Squeezed by Jesuit Dallas.
    Got beat on by DBP.
    Who knows about NP.

As badly as we played this week against DBP, NP could be a challenge. I still have a chance to hit my 1-2 prediction.

Again, I hit the Magic 8 ball for a prediction and keeps telling me to “Concentrate and ask again”. Doesn’t this thing know that I just had my eggs scrambled by 42 points and I can’t concentrate.

  7. Enjoyed the LaSalle/Tep game. An inexperienced Shurmur had 380 yards with an inexperienced o-line. Lookout Nov/Dec, Explorers will be tough. Game was September sloppy! Tep scores lightening quick. Did not expect LaSalle to let Tep get behind the D-Backs, especially after North Penn burned them deep on their only score. LaSalle D-Backs need more discipline. Where were the great LaSalle coaches with a couple minutes remaining in the half. Run up the middle 4 times from inside two yards….How about off tackle? Prevent burned for 2 td’s at the end of the half. Must be September. Tep has speed to compete at any level. Great football game. Classless announcer. Great Atmosphere. Good luck to both squads.

  8. OK, I’ll be the one to say it. Does anybody think the quiet ones comment was real, or somebody that thinks they’re funny? Thoughts?

  9. I went to the La Salle IMHOTep game and the Teps are very one dimensional. The only problem for the rest of the league is that dimension is “FAST”. Very entertaining game but sloppy on everyone’s part including the refs. All the holding calls on both teams got a little out of hand and they had to change the chain gang half way through the first quarter But the QB for Tep has a cannon for an arm and they can score in the blink of an eye. Did anyone else who was there want to shoot the PA announcer?

  10. Tep Tep you know they’re the best. Is there any better? Not in the east and surely not in the west. So what does all this mean? We’re lookin’ at the next AA champean. Yep Yep.

  11. Pennridge should go undefeated in the Continental this year, they have a good team and all of the other teams this year in the conference are horrible. Pennridge does not have the studs and talent they had last year but maybe they will last in the second round of the playoffs.

  12. @ RR mark stop making excuses for LaSalle. They lost play and simply not bytwo point but two touch downs yeah the refs was horrible for both side but u have to beat the team and ref. Please stop disrespecting TEP AND ITS PROGRAM. Let the kids play and leave the politics and haters on the side line where they belong. One last thing jaw jacking don’t win games the best team on that day does. Only thing jaw jacking does is cause confusion and hurt people feelings especially when they don’t know jack. Have a great sundae

  13. Nothing against Imhotep, but there was not a very big disparity between levels of play in those two teams last night. Could have very easily been a two td lead for LS as it xould have been for Tep. A couple things broke Tep’s way and that was the difference.

Props to Imhotep for proving they can play with the big dogs.

In my opinion, LaSalle can look back at this game if they end up doing big things this year. Which they very well can. For playing with a very young team, this LS team looks really talented. I’m interested to watch them 8 weeks from now.

  14. Imhotep was kind of given the game via turnovers. Still an impressive win. But they are anything but a small school AA team. Comparing apples to oranges vs. true AA schools who have many kids going both ways. Looks like Wyomissing is down this year. That leaves the Quips.

  15. Missing Franklin, Koller, a healthy Herron and the correct call on Shurmur’s overt sneak TD might have made a difference in that game?? IDK??
As it pains me to say it, even with all those things, Tep played better and deserved the victory. Coach Gordon said following the game, “if you can’t tackle and block, your not going to beat many people”. Give Tep credit for being elusive!
Nothing gets your attention better than a loss, we’ll see…

    P.S.(Jive)….Is Dion Sanders available??

  16. Don Bosco buried SJP 42-0. My goodness, how are they so good in North Jersey? Do they create high school football players in a lab or is it more or less a NY area all star team? I think the North Jersey teams should get even more national respect than they do. Seems like De La Salle and certain programs are the darlings of national rankings. Tell you right now, would like Bosco’s chances against any team on the country.

  17. I’m glad to see that ever one is finally opening their eyes about imhotep. A lot of people on this blog has been very disrespectful to the team and coaching staff. But hey it is what is happy first NFL day fellas.

  18. @Anon,
Agree with you on the fumble call 100%. Once the game goes to on demand, on sports fan base, I’ll watch it again to be sure. Big momentum shift on that play. I was told that the white caps brother is the assigner for the refs, and that’s why his crew gets the good games. Don’t know if it’s true, Huck would be the guy on here to ask. The officiating was not good for either team, and that crew should not be allowed to do anything above frosh or jv. Even if the phantom fumble call was wrong, you still have to keep playing. Lots of back and forth on LaSalle’s line being good enough lately. I don’t think that was their problem at all. Secondary was atrocious! Yeah they were missing a corner tonight, is he Dion Sanders? If not, they better go back to the drawing board. I think most coaches teach you at about the 65lb level to not let receivers get behind you. Guess them guys didn’t play 65’s. All in all I think anybody watching saw the best player in the city tonight. Number 5 for Imhotep is the absolute real deal!

  19. Imothep was well coached. Congratulations on a well deserved win.

Lasalle found out what their weaknesses are. The coaches will address them Monday.

  20. Is there any chance that Shurmur was not in the endzone by a full yard on that fumble call? Couldn’t believe they called that.
