  1. Williamsport looked good against Bethlehem Liberty today there defense was strong there was no score so could of been worse!

  2. Watch out for South Philadelphia this year. Long time AAA Public League power Bok combines with the AAAA South Philadelphia High Rams this year. Could make for an interesting team.

  3. Bloom looked dominating today against vo tech. I know it’s not the best competition in the world, but bloom will be tough. Ricky and Colby Klingerman two of the top players in the area. Both made plays today that I have too many high school players make

  4. @ Truth & ???,
Sometimes scores can be deceiving for a scrimmage, did Tep handle Prep that easily?
Regardless, that should put the ENTIRE PIAA on notice!!

  5. Berwick dominated CM in everything. Defense was lights out.Kowalski ran wild. Curry-Force passing outstanding. Looked like a curry team from nineties. CD will be tougher.

  6. 1st Stringer’s: Garnet Valley 7 Downingtown East 0

GV was about to score again at the end of the scrimmage but hit play #10 and the scrimmage ended. DTE did have an interception on GV though.

These two teams looked evenly matched too me. DTE looked like they were missing some people and so did GV on the O-line

  7. Spring-Ford Rams against Council Rock South. ..Rams Defense seemed to dominate offense solid with Jones and Carter attacking the run. Saw some nice things from upcoming SF QB’s. Moved the ball fast down the field. CR Gallo tough at Center.

  8. WVW lost a lot of skill guys minus Baur. Wyoming Area lost 3/4ths of their secondary so that’s not really a good measuring stick. Like you said, 7 v 7s can be misleading.

  9. Did anybody else see downingtown vs garnet valley? Good scrimmage between to well coached teams. D-town has some size this year

  10. @ Jake

Who are the 5 teams on WVW’s schedule that can beat them? They went 7-0 in the WVC last year and they return their QB, 3 OL starters and a handful of defensive starters. Plus they get Del Val and Stroudsburg at home.

Also – I saw the Johnson kid playing basketball in WB 2 days ago. I would love to know where you get all this inside info from? WVW struggled against mediocre teams in pass scrimmages? Were you at these scrimmages? I saw them go against WA and they destroyed them and I saw about 10 minutes of 7 on 7 against Prep and they looked very good then too. But regardless you should realize that pass scrimmages mean absolutely nothing come Sept and Oct

  11. District 2 AAAA predictions:

    1. Scranton 9-1
    2. Del Valley 7-3
    3. Wyoming Valley West 5-5
    4. Hazleton 3-7
    5. Williamsport 2-8

  12. @Mark Johnson isn’t transferring to WVW he moved back to New Jersey and I agree Dallas will have a down year I predict 4-6

  13. Anybody have predictions for D2 district playoff contenders? I know of some tight races in A and AAA. Not much firepower in AA and AAAA from last year it seems…

  14. @Rob
I don’t think Dallas will be anywhere in the picture this year. Prediction 2-8 at best 3-7. Johnson is supposed to transfer to WVW, however grades are an issue and he may not be playing. To many players need to be replaced. They do not have the horses to reload and their numbers are down. Zaruta had his fun, time for him to go.
