  1. can’t wait to here what liberty coach is planing for the season ,i hope he looks hard at the tapes lots of young talent, and kj williams coming back and the freshman QB . his first order of business should be naming the freshman as the starter.

  2. @Alex, I agree caddy is certainly a good team I’m from Whitehall and my nephew is from northampton and we sincerely would love to see a local team especially caddy go far in the playoffs. Unfortunately I’m not sure of they can bear Imhotep. I watched when pen argyl played them an it looked unfair, the speed difference was obvious and pen argyl was good team. I will be rooting for them but do not expect them winning states. But hey that’s why they play the games!

  3. On the HH ordeal; been a sh*t show over there for years, tons of young talent in that district…a shame that they continue to let ego’s and politics get in the way.

  4. Agreed, no one should tell anyone how to feel. After hearing more details regarding Rosenberger speaking to HH players and parents — which I didn’t realize took place— I agree with OL . I thought he had just worked out with HH kids a few times, did not realize they did formal intro with parents, etc. Heard he stressed loyalty and commitment to HH kids….apparently he didn’t live up to his own standards. Still a soap opera no matter what your vantage point is…

  5. @Herb and George, do me a favor, don’t tell me how I should feel.

Rosenberger spent a month at HH with the kids getting them ready for spring and summer camps. Not once did he tell these kids, “hey, I may walk out on you any day now”. The guy is as good as his word; apparently that means he’s not any good at all. In other circles, he’d be called a snake!

Don’t give me any sob story about wt being his alma mater; fact is, his word is just worth NNOTHING.

good luck to all the kids!

  6. Pretty wild, noticed that Shariff Floyd has entered the draft for this April. Saw him play a few years ago at Charlie Martin Stadium. George Washington was playing St. Joe’s Prep if I’m not mistaken. Remember Rutgers Coach Schiano was on the sideline to watch him.

  7. OK, My first post ever on any site. I have sat back and watch the idiot administators at Hatboro Horsham ruin their football program over the last several years. I do not have a child there now–He played in the 90’s. However, I have been around Suburban One football for 30 years–I know a lot of people. The admin needs to be exposed for their incompetency and their arrogance. They wasted time on a coach inititally who told everyone he couldn’t be the head coach time wise–bu yet they “Talked him into taking the job”. Which he held them up for a week or 2, then he told them he didn’t have time to coach–surprise. In the mean time they left a couple of good coaches waiting—then when they go and hire one of these guys they make the guy wait and rake him over the coals for a few weeks. They didnt see the urgency in January so they wait till Feb board meeting and then lose the guy to his alma mater…. that’s what you get when you play games and try to fill the spot with “your guy” or a Hatboro guy when there were several good coaches waiting to help. Now kids are flocking to play for the first coach–probem is that coach is at Wood….I am going to next board meeting and blasting these admins. They are a joke. I’ve seen people on another site trying to bury the guy for leaving for Tennet–He didn’t leave–they never hired him!!!! Guy is a good coach who wouldve helped the kids. Worse yet (heard this this week)apparently they couldve had a LaSalle coach and several LS assistants according to the local youth coaches I know. They had started talking about camps and clinics… Guess they couldn’t control these other LS coaches… Can not wait for next board meeting. BTW , I know AD real well and he is a heckuva guy. He looks like he aged 20 years since this crap started…Stick with LAX & Baseball fold the football team–these kids deserve a fighting chance which the admins won’t give them.

  8. As for the small schools, Catty could win the 2A state championship. Zack Bradley, Ra’Von Burton and Paryss Marshall are all back this season. All their good linemen are also back. They scored like 500 points the entire season and only gave up like 100 points.

  9. Was told that he is interviewing with Tennet and that he asked HH board to “wait” to make announcement. Guess it will come down to how see a deal Tennet offers him. My guess if all things were equal and both jobs posted at same time– Rosenberger would’ve taken Tennet job. Again, I feel for the kids. HH admin made critical mistakes with initial coaching decisions and now may have a huge mess on their hands. If Rosenberger decides to go to his alma mater no one should criticize him. He was HH 3rd or 4 th choice and they delayed in hiring him, so they left the door open for Rosenberger to talk to another school.

  10. PCL- your speculation may prove prophetic. Hearing Roaenberger is seriously considering Tennet. Tomorrow is D Day in Hatboro Horsham as they vote to approve him… We will know tomorrow night either way. Good Luck to him! He s waited his turn.

  11. Correct, if you read the articles and connect the dots the picture is clear. If WT offers Rosenberger a teaching job and HH didn’t then he is gone.

  12. @PCL fan I feel same way. Does the fact that HH took forever to commit to Rosenberger plus they won’t announce till Feb 19 open the door for him to go back home to Tennet. Did Tennet open this job at this strange time thinking they could grab Rosenberger? Like a soap opera. Hearing some noise about Hatboro kids going to transfer–top kids. Plus, hearing that some 8th grade student athletes from district now may chose to go to Wood or LS. Can’t make this stuff up!

  13. William Tennet
Wait and see how things unfold during next three. The ingredients are there for an interesting story.

  14. @Soup, it’s funny you mention Spahits. I was in car wash yesterday and 2 guys were talking about Spahits going to Wood. If this happens it would be a real shame. The kid is a great player but I don’t think PIAA should allow Sr transfers especially when kid doesn’t move. Interesting that the Wood coach who turned down job at Hatboro (HH grad too ) now may get Spahits on his team. Again, this is in the “I heard stage” I’m sure the school will fight this transfer if in fact it happens. BTW LS would never take a senior transfer unless they just moved to area, there curriculum is too difficult.

  15. Garnet Valley returns 4 starters on offense and 5 on defense. Portale will be taking over the reigns from All-Delco quarterback Ryan Corkey (Just committed to West Chester)….. I think this junior class the Jaguars have can definitely win a CL Champ with the likes of Haverford, Ridley, and Strath Haven.

  16. Happened to be walking by Temple campus today and saw a young buck donning a Wilson West Lawn shirt. Turns out he played on the 2008 team that lost to Bethel Park in the western semifinal in triple overtime. Remember hearing that that team had a great defense. He mentioned that Wilson would have matched up really well against Liberty had that happened. It’s a game of inches, man.

  17. @Brian. Pennridge has coach on staff in preparation for Rosenberger leaving. Randy is a good coach but he loses a lot of good players. Don’t think they will get close to this years success. Hatboro will improve under Rosenberger as they have nowhere to go but up. Think they are foolish if they try and run wing t there. Not playing to strength of the school’s good athletes. Need a spread offense there to get kids in school out for the team…basketball , baseball kids. Luke Spahits is a flat at stud RB for HH so look for big numbers from him. Good luck to all in ’13

  18. @Jerry
Just touched base with my buddy @ Pennridge and he confirmed Rosenberger is going to Hatboro along with running backs Coach Jones which is good for Hatboro but bad for Pennridge. Also heard Pennridge is losing two other coaches. Guess that’s what happens when you have a season like Pennridge had last year. Going out on top!
