    Turkey 9,

Last time I checked schedules are not made during the season. What you say was generously given I would say was earned every friday! So it’s our fault our opponents haven’t had a good season?

    Joe,

Not insecure, whiney or sour just like talking Easton football. Now that I have your unwanted attention you can save your boring insults. Since your a bit challenged I’ll keep it simple for you. My issue is simply I find it interesting that there is more chatter about a team with losses than an undeafted team? That’s it, nothing more. I’m not here to argue or name call.

  2. Joe says:

@rovers nobody said anything about Easton. I was asking about Parkland. A little insecure?? Man I though Easton fans were smart and tough not whiney and sour. Hopefully your a HS kid because if your not you just complained about nothing.

  3. GoRovers says:

    Josh,

I’m glad you got a good laugh, but my post was never about where they are ranked. I just can’t stand reading the “were’re hot now” stuff, and it’s not just this site its on Big tix and other media outlets.

  4. Jiveturkey9 says:

When it comes to rankings I don’t agree with the Funkster too often. Today we are pretty much on the same page.
    North Allegheny opponents record 30-19
    St Joes Prep 30-12
    Downingtown East 25-20
    Easton ? 22-27
    GoRovers,
Be happy with that #3 rank, it could be 6 or 7 and you would still not be getting disrespected. Honestly, Easton has not earned a top 5 ranking to this point, be proud of the 3 spot that was generously given.

  5. Josh Funk says:

    GoRovers,

Are you kidding? A No. 3 ranking in the state in AAAA and you pull the “Easton gets no respect” card? Come on….words cannot begin to describe how ridiculous of a post that is. If I had Easton No. 7 or 8, maybe you’d have a case. But No. 3????? (I did enjoy a good, long laugh, though, so thank you very much for that.)

    Joe,

I haven’t personally seen Parkland this season, but I hope to see them Saturday night assuming there isn’t any OT at my FT job near Milton. Since those two losses you mentioned, which both happened very early in the season, Parkland has been on a roll. Skat might be better to answer your questions about Parkland – he’s pretty in the know when it comes to Lehigh Valley football.

  6. GoRovers says:

Speed does kill, but Power and Speed are a deadly combination! Easton used both to hand parkland their second loss of the season. It’s amazing how people forget the game! EASTON blocked and tackled harder and then walked away with a sound VICTORY!!

  7. Jimbo says:

Parkland has speed to burn and speed kills!

  8. GoRovers says:

It’s amazing how a team that has not lost a game gets so little respect! Every team that has played Easton so far has given their best effort and they still all walked away with a LOSS! Parkland included!!

  9. jim says:

to HSFAN and Joe. Parkland most dangerous team in D2/4/11. I read posts from I think Scranton fans that don’t respect that fact that just because they lost to Delaware Valley they aren’t a real threat. Those who have not seen their receivers or running backs, multiple ones who are scary good are in for a surprise. I agree it was getting the timimg issue and routes down. I’d put $ on them being able to knock off Easton and Scranton. If they played Delaware Valley again, it very well might be a different outcome.

  10. HSfan says:

parkland is for real. i live in the valley and every week they build more confidence and keep rolling. if they played easton right now i think they would beat them. their offense is clicking on all cylinders. the first 2 games they worked out some kinks and had to get used to new coordinators on both sides of the ball, everything straightened out and kids are stepping up all over the place. parkland is a legit contender to win the district

  11. Joe says:

@Skat or @ Josh Funk Just a quick question for you, I read pennlive.com and your posts but refuse to post because of all the ignorant uniformed opinions. I am not from the Valley but I have noticed every week when I look at scores from across the state Parkland HS seems to be killing people on a weekly basis, I looked up there schedule and they have 2 losses one to the #9 team in the poll by 2 points I think, and one to the #3 team by 7 points. Are they a contender to do something in the district playoffs?

  12. Skat says:

Rankings aren’t just based on the fact you’re undefeated and someone else has a loss. It all depends who their losses were to and who their wins were against. So teams like Wood are in the rankings because their losses were to STJP and North Penn…two schools that are normally top AAAA schools…

  13. Rollie Ciffo says:

Assume you are referring to Berks Catholic. They probably should be in the top 10. They should win their next 2 games. I guess Trinity is more highly regarded because of their close loss to Selinsgrove.

Anyway, the test is the last game of the season against Wyomissing in a battle of unbeatens.

Who knows, maybe in the playoffs they get a shot at Trinity?

  14. RidleyGrad says:

Ridley back in the Top 10. If nothing else you have to admire the consistency. Top PA team in the country in winning %. Keep it up boys!

  15. Joe says:

In AA a 7-0 team only gets honorable mention and 3- 6-1 teams make the top 10?????
