Coatesville 42 Recruiting central 35
Heck of a game tonight in Downingtown! Coatesville once again showed that they an put up points against anybody. Next week assuming they play NA will be even tougher.
The playcalling in the 3rd quarter was a thing of beauty by coach Ortega and his Coatesville staff. Had the ball for all but 2 minutes or so in the quarter. At the same time, he almost cost them the game up 42-21 by going extremely vanilla with the playcalling, and letting LaSalle right back into the game. Major props to LaSalle down 42-21 they never quit and made it exciting the last 8 minutes of the game. Hard fought, physical game from both sides, but easily one of the worst officiating games i’ve seen in a while.
That was a very entertaining game. If Coatesville can cut down on the penalties, they will be champs. Their number 9 was an MVP tonight. Scoring over 40 points on LS defense. WOW!
Fell bad for Coleman and Spitieri. That’s not the right way to end their seasons.

If you had a sense of humility… I would not even post this… LaSalle had a great year! They have a great Academic school, great kids, and a great football team. I don’t care if others think LaSalle “recruits”.. You guys talk too much smack!! That is the issue that “WE” in the Pub School arena can’t tolerate… If you were humble, we would not care in the least.. But, you’re not.. that is the issue.. it has nothing to do with “recruiting”.

Rick it may take 15 yrs to get back but without open enrollment thats usually what happens. you play with what walks through the door. our team is comprised of kids that live in the coatesville area. not everybody can say that. by the way you have any examples of Cville fans not acting with class? I go to all of football,basketball,baseball games dont no what your talking about.

@John, Prep beat St. Peters in 2009 40-28. Desmon Peoples had 7 carries for 162yds. Peoples was 0-1 passing and had 2 catches for 6yds. He had 2 TD’s, not 3. Garrett Compton and Skyler Morningweg also scored 2 TD’s each.
Imhotep is real good but do not sleep on Aliquippa. They are 14-0 too and have as much or more speed… looking forward to seeing that game if everything plays out right… ‘Quips are putting up 51 per game and only allowing less than 5.
@CLARK31C the only team talking trash will be Coatesville…not exactly known for their class. Lets all be thankful they are only good once every 15 years.
@trugrit thats the scary thing about Imhotep there young #20 only a 10th grader has the biggest up side(size and speed)one of the best RB on team right now! #25 is ultra quick and #5 can run the spread option better with those 3 guys in the back field at the same time who do you key on scary! not to mention O line scary!!!! they have a chance to be better next year if that’s possible. and yeah we played them tuff but record books say Comm Tech 0 wins Imhotep 10 wins its turned into a lopsided rivalry (if you will) even in basketball Comm Tech and Imhotep Battle !hope both schools are still around in 5 ,10 years to compete.

I think you’re mistaken, my man. SJP never beat St. Peter’s Prep in 2008 or 2009. They just got rolled the one time they played a few years ago.

Here is the box score for the Unionville playoff game. It shows a close game in the forth. So add the 21 points from that game and you have 70.

Brother I feel the same way! BTW, your team did give Imhotep their toughest game. This team is still gonna be loaded for next year. The O-Line is all Jr’s, QB is a Soph, 3rd string RB is a Soph. The Defense is graduating 3-4 Seniors. This team is to be reckoned with for the next couple years.
Just think there is only one day left until these battle begins. I really hope everybody on this site who just keep on talking trash about both teams show up tomarrow night and support COATESVILLE or LASALLE . Lets keep real here its hard to get to this point in the season and there will be disapointments , bad calls by refs , and trash talking on the field, but guess what [ ONLY 1 TEAM CAN WIN ] so lets play the game and move on to HERSHEY or your locker room . Good luck , play hard to eastern final championship 2012.
