  1. COATESVILLE over SPRINGFORD
this will be a high scoring game, something like 45 to 28

    LASALLE over PARKLAND
this will be close……. real close

    CENTRAL CATHOLIC over SELLINGSGROVE
another tough one, alot of tradition at sellingsgrove

    INTERBORO over WOOD
upset special. Wood only has running game, stop that & you’re in

    INMOTEP over PEN ARGYL
    Imnotep recruiting way too good

    WYOMISSING over DANVILLE
if they don’t look past this week

  2. Thank you Jive & C.T coach watched the game on utube they seem small.Really doesn’t seem like they match well with Dunmore. But like you said if you got this far you must have something

  3. tsaf77, good luck to Parkland! Looked like a good game with many twists and turns. Quite a bit of talent on that field Saturday.

  4. For your info Comm Tech is a 1A school but we play a AA schedule ask imhotep who gave them there tuffst game this year injuries have killed us this year but we be back if they dont kill program

  5. Bristol runs a 5-2 there small can be past on #5 CB is week go at him as much as you can that was my mistakee the second time we played them and watch out for chop blocks lost my starting DE and left guard in firstst game to them playing dirty there RB is a tuff S.O.B there best running play is a counter trap If you give QB time he can hit open guys and if you get them in3rd down jamm TE #10 Comm Tech should still be playing ……refs did not help but that was expected

  6. @Mark d, Bristol played Comm Tech twice this year, losing by 18 the first time and winning by 3 the second. Comm Tech has a real nice back, #9, who ran all over them in game 1 and got pretty much shut down in game 2. Comm Tech is a 5-6 team that is really not very good. Dunmore was up 21 on an SCA team that I have seen a few times this year. SCA was looking like the team to face Clairton again until Dunmore whacked them. I really don’t think Bristol vs Dunmore will be much of a game. Guessing Dunmore by 4 touchdowns or more. However, Bristol got this far so you never know what they may bring to the table.

  7. Who wants THE FACTS? I had to do a little more digging into Imhotep to see if Mr. Facts was accurate. Here is what I have found. About their 100% graduation rate? That was for 2009 and 2010 classes, impressive rate over 2 years! The only wrinkle is that the school is under investigation from the state of PA department of education, for test tampering. Seems you have to renew your charter every few years and underperforming schools get revoked. In 2007 students proficiency rate in reading 39%, science 4%, writing 79%, and math 11%. Those scores would have led to the charter being revoked. 2011 reading 79%, science 6%, writing 84%, math 73%. What a turnaround! State officials issued the tests in 2012, reading 49%, science 5%, writing 67%, math 28%. UH OH! If anybody would like to know about the 575 kids on the waiting list and lottery that goes with it, just let me know. I think the lottery takes place after they select their basketball and football teams. Just for the record I couldn’t care less about them recruiting, just don’t deny it and tell me about THE FACTS.

  8. Parkland is the hot team in AAAA right now. They saw a D.V. team that has been an offensive juggernaut that would rival any top offense in the state with a D1 QB. La Salle has been playing good football however they need to be able to stop the versatile Parkland offense first.

  9. jiveturkey, love the facts, kind of like the situation. hype and smoke on this school. a matter of time before top layer of nonsense falls off

  10. Facts: I am not saying the programs of La Salle, St Joes etc are not great programs. They are great teams with a lot of talent which they somewhat replace on an annual basis. As for Imhotep, I have heard of them in basketball, never as a football power. All of a sudden they are a team with enough talent to have kids play 1 way? And that many kids that are D1 from an AA school? Raises questions.
I am sure the team is very talented but don’t compare the tradition at Imhotep to the likes of private powers such as St. Joes or O’Hara.
In fact, don’t even compare them to the traditions of Berwick and Dunmore.

  11. What can any one out their tell me about Bristol. Can they play with Dunmore?
Great game Del Valley and Parkland congrads to Parkland good luck.

  12. Bottom line over the years West Catholic ,Wood , LaSalle ,SJP…recruited inside the city and outside the city and won championships, nobody said anything going farther back than this decade. Tradition has a starting point and to say catholic or private schools programs are better because of tradition is unfair and ignorant! what new school has a tradition there just starting. The only reason Coach Alby and #33 left was the school was closing Coach built that school (west catholic) up for a long time and stayed in the back round ,its time he gets the credit, he’s Due and so is the public league! For years private and catholic schools took the cream of the crop from the inner city and then talk about how bad the public league was how could you compete when the best talent was being sucked out of the pub there not better coach’s they have all the high spades how can the loose…. in team sports if you have the bigger faster kids your going to win more time’s than not don’t care what kind of system you run, got to have the horses

  13. @JiveTurkey
What 15 kids are you referring to? Do you realize how big of news it would be if one PIAA team received 15 new transfers in one year? You’re just throwing things out there hoping it sticks and demonizing a good program that happens to be a Philly public school.

So in this case, maybe the 15 kids you’re referring to did play JV. Their JV team lost one game last year and was undefeated this year. So next year you may see 15 new names on the roster, doesn’t mean they’re transfers, they just were not on varsity.
This is a great program who is doing great things with academics and sports. No need to knock them, we should support it as well as support every school program who keeps these kids active, in the books and off the streets.

  14. @Buddy
I know the game was against Frankford, but in the City championship game Jordan Meachum had 7 carries for 146 yards, and with the big Offensive line they can run on anyone. Also WR/RB/QB Jimmy Heron has been playing well out of the wildcat lately.

  15. @ thefacts, Are you are telling me that just about 15 kids on that roster played JV last year or didn’t play at all, as sophs and juniors, because they couldn’t make an 8-4 team. Now they are in the running for the state championship. Hands down the best coaching staff in the country. I think you should contact the movie studios and trade mark the rights to the story.

  16. @ parkland:

Stop Sean Coleman & their ( LaSalle) short passing game and you can win.

Their QB gets rid of the ball quickly and rolls out very well. Also, they have big lines.

    Summary: Interupt the Kane/Coleman connection.

  17. As for as Chatmon and williams, several D12 and D1 programs received quality transfers this year. That happens everywhere. Imhotep will be good far after those two kids graduate. We can judge their program with a honest eye then.
