its hard to judge AW this yr as compared to teams in the past such as a berwick who was AAA or CB West who was the most dominant AAAA team for a good portion of the 90’s. the styles of play have changed cb west and berwick were time control freaks with power football. they had huge size and used a good running game to their advantage with good qb’s to manage the skill positions on the outside AW has the combination of speed and power and they are physical as any team ive ever seen. i think AW could be the best tema the eastern side of pa has seen in quite some time but they lost to pittsburgh central catholic altho it was a great game with some controversy, the wpial is incredible with great teams but i think AW deserves to be in that topic of conversation as one of the more elite teams to come thru the state with all these D1 players its unheard of really. it should be a great state title game, hopefully it plays out like last years AAA title game and not a complete blowout

Maybe I was exaggerating, but within the last few years, they are one of the best teams.

AW is deffinetly not the best team to come through the PA in a long time! They just beat a team that was 9-5 coming into that game. ACC gave up 500 yards the week before to Valley View! They are a good team this year but its an insult to every AAAA team in the past to say they are the best team in PA in a long time. I mean AW lost to a AAAA team in PCC that lost early in the playoffs.

Archbishop Wood is the best team to come through PA in quite a long time. 70-14?? Seriously???
