What game(s) are you going to attend week one? Break down the matchup of your game.
I will be covering the Downingtown East vs. Allentown Central Catholic game. It will be interesting to see ACC’s offensive/defensive line. Can they contain Drew Harris? Any one else going to this one?
We will be covering about 20 games this first week!

I saw Easton take it to a very disappointing Pennsbury team which is poorly coached offensively. Time at Pennsbury for a new head coach never has the team ready. Long season for the Falcons but have all the weapons, its a shame. A once proud program ran into the ground.
Great game between Souderton & Neshaminy! I actually expected Souderton to lose badly, but they didn’t ( 20 to 13). It is damn near impossible to win at “Heartbreak ridge”, just ask North Penn! I consider Neshaminy the 3rd best team in Eastern Pa.( behind Wood & ACC). Kudos to Big Red! They will be a force.
@ Brian Hope:
I hope Souderton doesn’t try to push their students through the system either, nor Pennridge, nor Quakertown , nor etc. etc. Obviously your an avid Souderton fan and you should be. But NP has no more, or no less, academic problems then any other Suburban One school ( 2003 not withstanding). Size does not equate to stupid. I agree , NP seems to be over rated at this point, they get high rankings just because they are North Penn ( shades of CB West years ago). You don’t have to keep telling us about Souderton. People who follow high school football, like you & me, know they have a GREAT team ( ranked 6th by the Inquirer, NP ranked 3rd). I expect Souderton to be NP toughest test next to LaSalle. We’ll find out Oct. 21st, on the assumption that most of NP star players aren’t deemed ineligible by then.
To Buddy & bro47,
I agree I saw LaSalle in their scrimmage against Pennsbury and they did not that good. I think both teams are over rated. North Penn may have an issue with eligability with some of their star players with the grades later in the season according to some of the students, not that bright. Time will tell. I hope the school just doesn’t just push them through the system. I’m telling you to keep an eye on Souderton, their good.
@ JC3000:
Man I envy you. I got comcast & they couldn’t care less about high school football. They don’t cover a single damn game from District one!! RCN & Service Electric in the Lehigh Valley cover their local teams. So do other cable companies across the state! Comcast is too big! If you’re reading this Comcast…….. get in the game!!!! By-the-way, ESPN2 is covering, live, the PCC vs. Wood game Sunday ( yes Sunday! ) at 2 pm. Two of the top 5 teams in the state there.
I will be able to see West Catholic/Roman Catholic, PW/Methacton, Harrisburg/Parkland, and Lancaster Catholic/Trinity, Susquehanna Township/Waynesboro this week either live or through tape, most likely before Tuesday.
@ bro47:
I like your talk there bro, and I do hope your right. But NP is definetly rebuilding ( even though must people think they just ” re-load”). Lost entire backfield, yea, QB is back, but that’s it. D-backs were lost too. LaSalle appears to be bringing back more than NP. Their QB, a good one, I believe one of their top receivers are back. I’m glad that RB ( Rathman) is gone. He was devastating. On paper, it favors LaSalle, albeit slightly. LaSalle has one helluva coach too. Unless Beck ( NP coach), has a secret weapon he’s keeping under wraps ( and he could) , this will be a tough game for NP. Looking forward to it, that’s for sure. Possibly NP toughest test of the regular season.
