  1. CLARK RACING 31C says:

I vote for the big guy from NORTH PENN KNIGHTS , # 44 RALPH REEVES , At 6.2 220lbs he is fast and very strong also a great team leader. He plays middle line backer , and full back . What a power house kid some college will get a great player. GOOD LUCK

  2. Joe says:

Kevin Gulyas/Wide Reciever/Allentown Central Catholic he has 82 rec, 1,290 yds, 17 td in only 10 games. He will own almost every career and single season PIAA record by the time he is done.

  3. T.Lumpkin says:

DESMON PEOPLES of Archbishop Wood. He is a superb RB, he does some very special things on the field and I really enjoy watching him. His team is 9-1 ranked in the rivals top 30 in the country.
Maybe with him and a few more studs PA. can beat OHIO in the BIG 33 this year.

  4. Zephfan says:

    Mark,

Can you tell me where the official pancake stats for the state are? Probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen posted on here.

  5. Mark says:

    Ben Wertz (Wyomissing Area)

    – Junior
    – Tackle
    – 6′ 1″
    – 220 lbs

    Leads the state in pancakes.

  6. Josh Funk says:

Consecutive 1,000/1,000 QBs in state history:

    Darryl Kerstetter, Millersburg, 2006-07
    Terrelle Pryor, Jeannette, 2006-07
    Brendan Nosovitch, Allentown CC, 2009-10*

Eugene Lewis is one of two possible players this season in line for consecutive 1,000/1,000 seasons. The other is Kyle Armagost from Moniteau, a AA school in Butler County. That asterisk next to Nosovitch signifies that he is the only one of those athletes with consecutive 2,000-yard passing, 1,000-yard rushing seasons. Never been done before.

  7. Zephfan says:

    @ ray wyberski

Actually back to back has been done since Terrelle Pryor by a kid named Brendan Nosovitch from ACC.

  8. ray wyberski says:

eugene lewis wyoming valley west 900 yards passing 9td’s 1335 yards rushing 25 td’s thru 9 games and 4 games he was with the starters on the bench at halftime team has 8-1 record looking this week for back to back 1,000 yrd rushing 1,000 yrd passing hasnt been done since terell pryor great canidate plus the most recruited kid in eastern p.a. in many years

  9. Ron says:

I would like to nominate Blake Rankin. Blake has over 1400 yards passing, 12 TD’s he also has over 1000 yards rushing for 21 Td’s on the season. His team should make the playoffs and his stats will only improve.

  10. Rusky says:

I would like to nominate Zayd Issah from Central Dauphin. Zayd was strictly a RB last yr but has been asked to do a lot more this yr. He currently has 800 yds rushing (team leading) and 7 rushing TDs (team leading). He is also lined up as a receiver and has over 400 yds receiving (team leading) with 7 receiving TDs (team leading). He is averaging 22 yds per catch. Zayd has also been asked to play Outside Linebacker this yr where he has 62 tackles (team leading), 7 sacks, and 1 INT. Zayd has led his team to a 8-1 record and a #2 district seed.

  11. adam says:

yeah i understand you on that one just saying that nosovitch has more yards at this point this year than last yr with a sub par offensive line altho theyve picked it up as of late, daniel harding, drew harris, and mike shinkus would have been in the mix had he not gotten injured, i dont know what the west has to offer

  12. Rollie Ciffo says:

Adam, The award is for Player of the year in 2011…not 2010. It doesn’t sound like a lifetime achievement award. I’m not a big WPIAL fan but I think the award should go to Rushel Shell.

  13. J says:

    Daniel Harding, QB, Sr, Nazareth

    2434 yards passing 68% completion %
    21 tds 6 ints 271 ypg
    9 rushing tds
    4 fourth quarter comeback wins
( Easton, @Liberty, @ Allentown Central Catholic, Whitehall)

  14. Jeremy Varner says:

Please use the submission form at http://www.prepnationradio.com/edsel/

  15. Jack Baranski says:

Eugene Lewis, Wyoming Valley West. The kid can do it all and has with opposing defenses all geared to slow him down. He is as equally impressive off the field as on the field and one of the finest players in the state.

  16. adam says:

Brendan Nosovitch, the kid has done everything possible in a football uniform passing, running and even droppin back playin safety in a state championship. the states all time yards leader surpassing terrell pryor by 1200 yards
