Terence Tolbert named new Abington Head Football Coach

The Abington Senior High School Athletic Department is proud to share that Mr. Terence Tolbert has been named the school’s head football coach following his appointment at January 10, 2023, meeting of the Board of School Directors.

An alumnus from the Abington Senior High School Class of 1989, Tolbert has also previously served as Abington’s assistant football coach, focusing on quarterbacks and special teams, as well as, the junior varsity team, from 1999-2009, and again in 2013. During his most recent season, the team advanced to the District 1 Class AAAA
Semifinals.

In addition, Tolbert brings vast experience from the competitive landscape of Florida high school football, where he worked as a quarterbacks coach, running backs coach, and offensive coordinator at Wekiva High School and West Orange High School. Additionally, Tolbert worked with Quarterback Nation, All-American Games, and NFL High School Player Development.

He is currently a business teacher at Cheltenham High School.

Tolbert will be the 18th head coach in school history, and he is excited to build a winning tradition and to serve the Abington community, beginning with the fall 2023 season.
