A traditional football powerhouse from Delaware County, Ridley brings to the table an all-time winning percentage of .787 (according to the Pennsylvania Football News) and has made two appearances in the PIAA AAAA Eastern Finals in the last three years.  Second year head coach Dennis Decker (13-2) brings back some nice pieces in terms of skill position players in top rushers Jalen Randolph (668 yards, 10 TD) and Shahaid Smith (701 yards, 10 TD) and top receivers Dion Shaw (583 yards, 6 TD) and Norm Donkin (586 yards, 7 TD).  Shaw is a potential Division-1 prospect at WR, having generated interest from schools like Boston College, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Pitt, Purdue and Syracuse, to name a few.  Ridley averaged just under 30.1 points per game. Since 2001, Ridley’s overall record stands at 92-23 (.800).

Ridley should win the Central League this year, Garnet Valley is not going to be anything close to what they have been, and Ridley just has too many weapons returning on offense, all Blundin has to do is get them the ball, nothing special. The defense will be outstanding as always. Ridley should have no problems running the table during the regular season

  2. abby says:

I agree taddo the central league is not gonna be tough this year besides the obvious four contenders. Just look out for ridley in the playoffs it’ll be interesting to see what they an do with all this talent

  3. andy says:

Taddo your exactly right. look for ridley, stoga, and penncrest the only contenders this year out of the central league

  4. shawn says:

Year in and year out, Ridley is doubted yet they always find a way to walk the walk. They should easily grab a rather much weaker than usual Central league title.

p.s. Ridley is ALWAYS the smaller team

  5. Taddo says:

Ridley will be a state contender this year just like the past few years. Central league can’t keep up with the toughness of Ridley. Only contenders will be Conestoga, Garnet Valley and Penncrest out of the Central League. Look for Shaw, Smith, Randolph (jr.) and Donkin to make some noise for Ridley this year. Dennis Decker knows how to coach..

  6. joe says:

saw ridley scrimmage chester, was not impressed with size or speed of ridley. the easy central league schedule and some skill position players they will probably make the playoffs. will be tough getting past conestoga this year.
