Coach’s Comment: Sam is a member of our prestigious 1,000-Pound Club, having achieved this milestone through his combined totals in the power clean, squat, and bench press. This accomplishment is a testament to his dedication, discipline, and commitment to our offseason strength and conditioning program.
His hard work in the weight room has resulted in significant growth since last season. A returning starter at defensive tackle, Sam will once again play a vital role on our defensive front. We expect him to be a key contributor to what we believe will be one of the strengths of our team—a physical and disciplined defensive line. In addition to his defensive responsibilities, Sam will also contribute on the offensive side of the ball at tight end, further demonstrating his versatility and team-first mentality.
Beyond his contributions on the field, Sam has embraced a leadership role within our program. He volunteered as a counselor at our youth football camps, helping mentor and encourage the next generation of Falcons. His willingness to invest in younger athletes reflects his character, leadership, and commitment to the continued growth of our football program. We are fortunate to have Sam as an important member of our team, and we look forward to the leadership, toughness, and versatility he will continue to bring to our program this season.
