Football fans saw several records set in Eastern Pennsylvania last week.

Valley Forge Military Academy’s Bronson Szallar rushed for 251-yards to set a school single-game record. Mike Ricketts held the previous record rushing for 236-yards against Bristol in 1976.

Conwell-Egan’s Joe Ruggiero broke the school single-game receiving yardage record with 178-yards. The previous record was 177-yards in 1977 by Jerry Riley.

Doug Erney of Bethlehem Liberty threw for 354 yards and five first half touchdown’s in a win over Nazareth Area to break two school records. His 354 yards breaks the schools single-game 47-year old record of 347 yards held by John Rabuck.

The five touchdown passes breaks the old record of four held jointly by Rabuck (1967), Jim Villani (1975) and Erney himself when he did it in 2012 as a freshman.

Erney now leads the District with 726 yards passing.
