MID VALLEY STUNS SCRANTON TIMES 5TH RANKED RIVERSIDE VIKINGS.

Football is a team sport and a team they were from beginning to end. Mid Valley believed in each other and their coaches one of those team members was Victor Holt who kept making huge plays for his Spartans that ultimately impacted the outcome of the game.

The senior caught a touchdown pass and had two interceptions returning one for a touchdown and then for the grand finale he tipped away a crucial pass attempt late in the 4th quarter.

MOUNT CARMEL TO MUCH FOR DUNMORE

The Dunmore Bucks gave a strong effort against the Red Tornadoes’ stealthy strong squad at halftime the score was very close Mount Carmel was only up 13-7. The Bucks will regroup and will be fine.

Put your telescopes away no it wasn’t a blazing red hot COMET on Friday night, it was the Abington Heights Comets football team that lit up the night and was showing the LFC and District 2 that they are back to their winning ways of days gone by.

Sr Declan Walsh provided some key plays, the senior had two long 4th quarter touchdowns and one rushing score also one fumble recovery and return to ice the Comet victory over a very talented Wilkes Barre area team
