Coaches comments: Jake has started at LB since his sophomore year. His junior year he was unfortunately injured and only played in our first two games. During those games he contributed significantly both offensively and defensively. In the offseason, he has dedicated himself to his training and one of the strongest players on our teams. As a junior, he was our only underclassmen team captain. As an LB, he is solid defending against the inside run game and athletic which allows him to run sideline to sideline well, and strong defending against the pass. Offensively, he will also be counted on in 2020 to contribute as an H back. He is a leader on and off the field.
