Offensive Player of the Week:
-Amahj Gowans (Cardinal O’Hara – RB – Sr.):
The Lions’ workhorse back unleashed his three consecutive 190+ yard outing. This time he went for 199 yards on 30 totes and a TD in O’Hara’s, 19-0, blanking of Upper Darby.
Offensive Honor Roll:
–Gavin Sidwar (LaSalle – QB – Sr.)- In less than a half of play finished 13-for-14, with 226 yards and 4 scores.
-Yeboa Cobbold (Lansdale Cath. QB – Sr.)- Passed for 58 yards and rushed for another 73 (30-yard TD).
-Owen Johnson (LaSalle – Wr – Soph.)- Six catches for 130 yards and a 54-yard TD.
-John Fogarino (Judge – QB – Sr.)- Rushed 22 times for 150 yards and a Td; passed for 112 yards.
-Josiah Everett (West Cath. QB – Jr.)- Foru of his 9 completions went for scores, as he finished with 194 yards passing.
-Dave Spinelli (Ryan – QB – Sr.)- Rushed ten times for 120 yards and TD and passed for another 85 yards and a score.
Defensive Player of the Week:
-Clement Inyang (Father Judge – OLB – Sr.):
Inyang made a critical play in Judg’e exciting, 27-26, win over Archbishop Wood when he scooped-up a fumble and sped 57 yards for a touchdown. Additionally, he had a team-high 7 tackles; including a sack and three other TFLs.
Defensive Honor Roll:
-Max Brown (O’Hara – LB – Jr.)- Managed 8 tackles; one TFL and pass defend.
-Cooper Heilig (LaSalle – LB – Sr.)- Had 8 tackles; including a sack.
-Rush Speller (West Cath. – DL – Sr.)- Made 12 tackles (7 solos) with a TFL.
-Danny Celins (Ryan – De – Sr.): Had two sacks and two other TFLs amongst his five stops.
Special Teams Player of the Week:
–Gavin McLain (O’Hara – K/P – Sr.)
The reliable McLain takes home this honor for the second straight week. In his team’s win over Upper Darby he banged home a 25-yard Fg, was 2-for-2 on PATS, belted a pair of touchbacks, and punted twice with a long of 40 yards.
Multi-Purpose Player of the Week:
-James Webb (Lansdale Cath. – WR/DB/KR – Sr.)
Webb was very instrumental in the Crusaders, 28-7, victory over Archbishop Carroll. He returned a kickoff 79 yards for a score. Defensively, he notched a pair of interceptions, added two tackles and pass defends each. Offensively, he made one catch for 18 yards.
Spectacular in Defeat:
-Jett Harrison (SJ Prep – WR – Soph.)
Harrison accounted for all four of the Hawks scores in their tough defeat to powerful St. Francis (MD), 34-26. All total, he made six catches for 179 yards.
