Offensive Player of the Week:
-Gavin Sidwar (LaSalle – Sr. – QB)
Sidwar shined in the Explorers’ defeat over St. Joe’s Prep with a 20-for-34, 324 yards performance. Included in this were four passing strikes. The four scores gave Sidwar 85 touchdown passes for his career, which now places him tops on the LaSalle career list. LaSalle Head Coach Brett Gordon held the previous record with (84).
Offensive Honor Roll:
-Semaj Beals (Roman – Sr. – QB)- Was an efficient, 13-for-19 with 262 yards and 4 total TDs (1 rush).
-Eyad Stead (Roman – Sr. WR)- Displayed explosiveness with 139 yards on 5 catches, (76-yard TD).
-Noel Campbell (Bonner-Pren. – Jr. – QB)- Orchestrated the Friars in a 31-0 win over Judge going 14-for-23, 175 yards and 2 scores.
-Joey O’Brien (LaSalle – Sr. – WR)- Once again instrumental with 10 snags for 141 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
-Josiah Everett (West Cath. – Jr. – QB)- Tossed three scores with a 14-for-25, 212-yards outing.
-Dave Spinelli (Arch. Ryan – Sr. – QB)- Passed 16-for-24, 213 yards and two scores. Added 42 yards on the ground on 10 totes.
-Yeboa Cobbold (Lansdale Cath. – Sr. – QB)- Amassed 251 yards passing/rushing (102 yards) with a TD toss and a 70-yard TD run.
Defensive Player of the Week:
Jason Williams (Neum.-Gor. – Jr. – OLB)
The Saints relied heavily on the play of Williams in their hard-fought, 12-6, victory over Conwell-Egan. In a defensive tussle, no one stood out more than this Saints’ defender, as witnessed by his game-high 12 tackles (7 solo); including two for losses and a pass defend.
Defensive Honor Roll:
-Mathias Lieber (Lansdale Cath. – Jr. – LB)- Hustled for 15 tackles (7 solos).
-Austin Lyons (Arch. Ryan – Sr. – OLB)- Team-high 10 stops (6 solos); pass defend and a blocked PAT.
-Frank Lorenti (Arch. Ryan – Soph. – LB)- Contributed 9 tackles, one TFL, and a 20-yard interception return.
-Rush Speller (West Cath. – Sr. – DL)- Spearheaded the Burrs with 6 tackles; including a sack and one other TFL.
-Keyshawn Flowers (Neum.-Gor. – Sr. – LB)- Was active with 9 tackles; including 6 solos.
-Walter Hudson (Roman – Jr. – LB)- Lead the Cahillites 9 tackles.
-Jimmy Mahoney (LaSalle – Sr. – DB)- Paced the Exploers with 5 tackles, two pass defends, and a 45-yard interception return.
Special Teams Player of the Week:
–Eisa Nealy (Roman – Jr. PR)
Nealy made two critical plays in the return game that help the Cahillites pull away from a stubborn O’Hara team. First, he returned a punt 33 yards in the 3rd quarter to set-up a Roman score. Later, in the fourth quarter he provided the nail in the coffin with a 73-yard punt return touchdown.
Multi-Purpose Player of the Week:
-Sya’mir Jackson (West Catholic – Jr. – WR/DB)
The Burrs’ playmaker dazzled offensively with 6 receptions and 102 yards, including a 45-yard touchdown catch to start the scoring. Later, he added an interception to help secure the Burrs’ fourth win of the season.
Spectacular in Defeat:
-Jett Harrison (SJ Prep – Soph. – WR)
Harrison was fantastic in the Hawks’, 31-20, setback to their rivals LaSalle, in scoring all three of his team’s touchdowns. He finished with 13 catches for 166 yards and scores that covered 12, 17, and 35 yards
