Offensive Player of the Week:
-Gavin Sidwar (LaSalle – Sr. – QB)
-Sidwar had another marksmanship day by going 24-for-32, for 262 yards in the Explorers’ huge win over St. Joe’s Prep in the PCL 6A Final. He tossed a pair of touchdowns and rushed for one other in the game. Also, he eclipsed the 8,000-yard barrier for passing yards in this tilt. Becoming only the second city quarterback to accomplish such a feat.
Offensive Honor Roll:
-Owen Johnson (Lasalle – Soph. – WR)- Had ten catches for 92 yards and two TDs.
-Omarie Demercado (Bonner-Pren. – Jr. – RB)- Rumbled for 106 yards on just 9 carries and rushed for one score.
-Yeboa Cobbold (Lansdale Cath. – Sr. – QB)- Passed 10-of-12 for 112 yards and 3 passing scores.
-A’mar Woodson (Neum.-Gor. -Jr. – RB)- Toughed-out 98 yards on 24 carries with two scores.
-Joshiah Everett (West Cath. – Jr. – QB)- Threw for four touchdowns on a 12-for-22, 227 yards showing.
-Sya’mir Jackson (West Cath. – Jr. – WR)- Three of his four receptions went for scores and he accumulated 158 yards in the game.
-Semaj Beals (Roman- Sr. – QB)- Paced the Cahillites with three passing scores and 202 yards on a 10-for-12 showing.
Defensive Player of the Week:
-Hakim Allah (O’Hara – Sr. – DL)
-Allah was a force for the Lions in their win over Archbishop Ryan. He made 7 total tackles; including two sacks and three other TFLs.
Defensive Honor Roll:
-Ryan Fandozzi (LaSalle – Sr. – DE)- Made six tackles, inclining a half-of-sack and one other TFL for the Explorers.
-Robert Bower (O’Hara – Soph. – S)-Had a 31-yard pick-6 and 6 tackles (TFL) for the Lions.
-Logan Rogers (Bonner-Pren. – Soph. – LB)- Rogers paced the Friars with a team-high 11 tackles (TFL).
-Russell Holmes (Lansdale Cath. – Sr. – DE)- Notched two sacks amongst his four stops and added a fumble recovery, pass defend, and a blocked punting the Crusaders’ blowout win.
-Bashir Carter (Neum.-Gor. – Sr. – DE)- Carter made his presence felt with 6 tackles, a sack, and two other TFLs.
Special Teams Player of the Week:
-Emilio Martinez (O’Hara – Jr. – KR)
-Martized aided the Lions with a critical 75-yard kickoff return for touchdown in their convincing, 44-21, win over Archbishop Ryan in a PCL 4A Semifinal contest.
Multi-Purpose Player of the Week:
-John Patrick Oates (LaSalle – Sr. – TE/DE)
Oates was solid in the Explorers huge win over St. Joe’s Prep in the PCL 6A final. He contributed offensively with 4 catches for 52 yards. Defensively, he was one the seen for five tackles (4 solos) and a pass defend.
Spectacular in Defeat:
-Gavin Hutz (Father Judge – Sr. – WR)
Hutz put forth a yeoman’s effort in the Crusaders loss to Roman, as he made four catches for 170 yards Three of his snags went for scores; covering 64, 28, and 65 yards. He also added 82 yards in returns to give him a 252-yards all-purpose day.
