Philadelphia Catholic League Players of the Week (Week of August 24th, 2025)

Offensive Player of the Week:

-Jack Drakeley (Wood – QB – Jr.):

16-26-260- 4 passing touchdowns in Wood’s exciting, 39-28, win over CB South.

 

Offensive Honor Roll:

Gavin Sidwar (LaSalle – QB – Jr.)- 23/37/270/2 TDs.

-Owen Johnson (LaSalle – WR – Soph.)- Rec. 6-100-TD; 44 return yards.

-Tyty Mattison (Carroll – WR – Jr.)- 178 yards on 3 touches; TDs of 90 & 79 yards.

-Josiah Everett (West – QB – Jr.)- 16/24/191/4 TDs.

-Sya’mir Jackson (West – WR – Jr.)- Rec. 7-107-2 TDs.

-Amahj Gowans (O’Hara – RB – Sr.)- Rush 10/88/2 TDs.

-Noel Campbell (B-P – QB – Jr.)- 4/5/150/3 TDs.

-Trey Smith (Wood – WR – Sr.)- Rec. 8-175-TD.

 

Defensive Player of the Week:

-Russell Holmes (Lansdale – De – Sr.):

Was seemingly everywhere with five sacks and four other TFLs (Totaling 48 yards in losses) in the Crusaders, 36-0, pasting of School of the Future. (Rushed: 8-81-1 TD)

Defensive Honor Roll:

-William Davis (Wood – LB – Sr.)- 11 tackles (8 solo), sack & 2 TFLs.

-Dane Austerberry (C-E – S – Jr.)- 12 tackles (11 solo), TFL.

-Danny Celins (Ryan – DE – Sr.)- Seven total stops; 2.5 sacks, 2 TFL, Fumb. rec.

-Tristan Laing (O’Hara – DL – Sr.) 3 tackles, 2 TFL, two fumble rec. (TD).

-Ranier Caswell (Carroll – DB – Soph.)-6 tackles, 2 PD, 2 fumb. rec. (TD).

Special Teams Player of the Week:

Cam Lundy (B-P – DE – Jr.)

Scored two TDs on special teams in the Friars, 53-0, whipping of Simon Gratz. Returned a pick out of punt formation 16 yards and scooped up a block punt returning it 5 yards a short time later.

 

Multi-Purpose Player of the Week:

Kenny Montgomery (Wood – WR/KR – Sr.)

Contributed 125 yards receiving on 6 catches with three of them going for TDs. Added 73 yards on a trio of kick returns.

 

Spectacular in Defeat:

Khyan Billups (Sj prep – RB – Sr.)

Had a good showing in the Hawks excruciating, 31-28, loss to nationally ranked American Heritage (FL). Finished with 141 yards on 26 carries and a TD.
