MECHANICSBURG, PA — February 5, 2026 — The Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association (PSFCA) is proud to announce the induction of seven legendary coaches into the 2026 PSFCA Coaches Hall of Fame. The formal induction ceremony will take place on May 24, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cumberland Valley High School Performing Arts Center.
This year’s class represents decades of excellence, leadership, and a profound commitment to the development of student-athletes across the Commonwealth. These seven inductees have not only amassed impressive records on the field but have left an indelible mark on the communities they served.
“The PSFCA Coaches Hall of Fame represents the very soul of high school football in Pennsylvania,” said Garry Cathell, Executive Director of the PSFCA. “This year’s inductees devoted their lives to shaping young people, building character, and upholding the values that make our game so meaningful. Their commitment extended far beyond the sidelines and left a lasting imprint on every student-athlete they coached.”
“These seven coaches didn’t just win games — they changed lives,” Cathell said. “Through decades of leadership, mentorship, and service, they strengthened their schools and communities while setting a standard of excellence for generations to follow. It is a privilege to honor their extraordinary legacies with induction into the PSFCA Coaches Hall of Fame.”
The 2026 Inductees include:
- Mark Evans: Eastern Lebanon County (ELCO) HS; Manheim Township HS
- Tom Gravish: Bellefonte HS; Jersey Shore Area HS; Williamsport HS
- Larry Greene: Central Bucks East HS; Pennsbury HS
- Tom Loughran: Fox Chapel HS; South Park HS
- Mike Lippy: Littlestown HS
- Mike Mischler: Erie Cathedral Preparatory School; Iroquois HS
- Terry Smith: Gateway HS; Penn State University; Temple University
The ceremony will celebrate the career milestones of each inductee, offering an opportunity to reflect on their experiences and legacy as leaders in the game of football. Each honoree—both present and posthumous—will be recognized for their lasting impact on players, programs, and communities, underscoring the PSFCA Hall of Fame’s role as a permanent tribute to those who have helped shape and elevate high school football across Pennsylvania, one of the nation’s most storied football states.
