Coaches Comments: Marcus Yeager has been a vital part of the Trinity football program since his sophomore year, but it was in his junior season that he truly emerged as one of the team’s most impactful players. A dominant force on defense, Marcus made a name for himself by relentlessly pursuing quarterbacks and forcing running backs to change their game plan—many of them choosing to run the other way rather than face him head-on.
His presence on defense was nothing short of intimidating. Whether coming off the edge or tracking down plays in open space, Marcus brought intensity, athleticism, and an instinct for the ball that made him a nightmare for opposing offenses.
But Marcus didn’t just shine on defense—he was equally valuable on the offensive side of the ball. A versatile and dependable playmaker, he contributed in both the running and passing game. Whenever the team needed a big play, Marcus delivered—whether it was breaking off a tough run, hauling in a clutch catch, or grinding out crucial yards in tight moments. His ability to step up in key situations helped lead Trinity to several hard-fought wins.
Marcus Yeager isn’t just a two-way player—he’s a game-changer, a leader, and a cornerstone of the Trinity football team.
