Coaches Comments: Lucas Long has been a valuable part of our program for the past two years. He just finished his sophomore year reaching the district 4 AA Championship. Lucas broke into the starting lineup as a freshman and has not looked back. He is really working hard in the weight room and has become a team leader. Lucas is maturing and growing not only on the field but in the classroom as well. He is a joy to have on the team, and I am looking forward to seeing where Lucas ends up. We are expecting a great deal from Lucas who will only be a junior this season. He has increased his strength, and speed and is mastering his blocking assignments. His work ethic and overall fundamentals are really starting to open some eyes. He has a tremendous first step and moves extremely well for a big man. He has violent hands and loves to finish his blocks. He is a great young man with a ton of potential.
