   Gentlemen, Ponder on last season and learn from your mistakes, but do not dwell on them leave last season in the rearview mirror . You will all have success moving forward if you work hard as a team and believe in each other as a team, and most importantly, Play from your heart and want to win. Lakeland football is no stranger to championship history as we all know it runs deep .Let this season, be a steppingstone to getting back to the championship tradition.

   In the words of much respected Former head football coach
   Jerry Wasilchak who started the championship tradition at Lakeland high school many years ago starting back with Lakelands, first Eastern conference championship in 1972 with many more to come in his words, he would always tell his players……….GOTTA BELIEVE !

   those are not hollow words , those are words from the heart. Those are words with true meaning . When you put on that Lakeland Chiefs football helmet you don’t put it on for this season you put it on for all the seasons that have come and gone through this highly successful program gentlemen playing football at Lakeland high school is not a right it’s a privilege.
