Emmaus standout Tyler Carmosky has made his college decision.
The Class of 2027 defensive back announced on X Saturday night that he has committed to Cornell University, where he will continue his academic and football career at the Division I level.
Carmosky is committed to Cornell to play strong safety/nickel, a role that fits his versatility, physical style of play and ability to make an impact both against the run and in coverage.
At 6-foot-4 and 205 pounds, Carmosky brings excellent size and athleticism to the secondary. His combination of length, speed and physicality gives him the ability to match up in coverage while also coming downhill and making plays near the line of scrimmage.
During the 2025 season, Carmosky recorded 29 total tackles, including 17 solo stops, four tackles for loss and seven pass breakups. He finished the season as the leading tackler in the Emmaus secondary.
Those numbers show the versatility Cornell is getting in Carmosky. He can contribute in run support, make plays behind the line of scrimmage and use his size and athleticism to disrupt passes in coverage.
Carmosky has also been clocked at 4.56 seconds in the 40-yard dash, adding another dimension to an impressive physical profile.
His commitment gives Cornell another talented Pennsylvania prospect and provides Carmosky with an opportunity to compete at the Division I level while receiving an Ivy League education.
Before heading to Ithaca, Carmosky has one more season at Emmaus. He will be a player to watch in the Green Hornets’ secondary during the 2026 season as he prepares for the next chapter of his football career.
