DISTRICT 11 NOTES (week 1):

Alex Achenbach of Williams Valley rushed for 230 yards on 40 carries and scored 2 td’s in their win over Upper Dauphin.  Achenbach joined the “4,000 yard” club and now has 4,191 career rushing yards.  Achenbach also went over 50 career td’s and currently has 51 career td’s.  Matt Machalik of Palmerton rushed for 209 yards and 5 td’s, threw for 184 yards and a td and scored a 6th td on an interception return.  His 6 td’s tie the school record that Matt Stasko set in 2015 vs Catasauqua.  Machalik has scored 64 career td’s and that moves him into 24th place all-time in the District.  He is currently tied with Jonathan Linton (Catasauqua 1989-92), Rashonn Drayon (Central Catholic 1992-94) and Michael McDaniel (Bethlehem Catholic 2012-14).  Machalik also broke the school career passing yardage record.  Garrett Perschy held the record when he threw for 4,595 yards from 2013-16.  Machalik now has 4,710 yards.  Lane Lehman of Pine Grove rushed for 227 yards and 2 td’s vs Northern Lebanon.  Lehma rushed for 216 yards vs N.L. last year.  Sophomore Gabe Green of Liberty rushed for 196 yards and 2 td’s in their win over Dieruff.  Tyler Miller of Blue Mountain was added to the chart after surpassing 1,000 career rushing yards in week 1.  Caden Henritzy of Northampton and Dalton Clymer of Northwestern both have scored 35 career td’s.
