DISTRICT 11 NOTES (Weeks 13 & 14)

RUNNINGBACKS: 

Matt Frame of Northern Lehigh increased his season totals to 1,599 yards rushing and 26 td’s scored.  He is currently in 5th place all-time at NL for rushing yards in a season.  Top 5 are Cody Remaley 2,322 (2010), 2,155 (2009), Nick Hosford 1,761 (2005), Ryan Hluschak 1,682 (2002) and Frame 1,599 (2021).  Frame’s career yardage has him in 4th place all-time at Northern Lehigh.  Hluschak is 42 yards ahead of Frame on the list with 3,320 career yards that he rushed for from 2000-02.  Hluschak scored a Bulldog 2nd best 50 td’s in his career.  In second place on the career rushing list 108 yards in front of Frame is 3-time 1,000 yard rusher Dale Beck.  Beck rushed for 3,386 yards and scored 32 td’s from 1978-80.  Cody Remaly is the Bulldogs all-time leader with 6,555 career rushing yards and 92 career td’s that he racked up from 2007-10.  Deante’ Crawford of Freedom ended his senior season rushing for a District leading 1,719 yards.  He fell 23 yards short of breaking Darrius Webb’s single season school record.  Webb rushed for 1,741 yards in 2009.  Crawford scored 25 td’s this season which is 3rd best at Freedom.  Webb holds the record with his 29 he scored in 09 and Eddie Mateo is in 2nd place with 26 td’s that he scored in 2008.  Crawford’s 2,446 career rushing yards fell 14 yards short of the school’s career rushing record.  Mike Lawrence still holds the record with his 2,459 yards he totaled from 1981-83.  Crawford scored 37 career td’s which is 2nd best behind school leader Jalen Stewart’s 42 td’s that he scored from 2016-19.  Alex Achenbach of Williams Valley finished his sophomore season 3 yards behind Crawford as he rushed for 1,716 yards and scored 18 td’s.  Josh Chowansky of North Schuylkill rushed for 1,524 yards and scored 16 td’s this season.  He finishes his career with a school record 3,257 yards rushing.  Chowansky scored 36 career td’s.  Ethan Motsney holds the school record with his 40 career td’s he scored from 2009-12.   Ron Blake of ES South finished his senior season rushing for 1,153 yards and scored an EPC North leading 22 td’s.

QUARTERBACKS:

Dylan Smoyer of Northern Lehigh went over 2,000 yards passing for the season and now has 2,060 yards to go along with throwing 27 td passes.  Smoyer went over 3,000 yards passing for his career and currently has 3,036 yards and 38 td passes.  Those are all school records.  Jake Hall of North Schuylkill threw for 2,342 yards and a District leading 30 td passes this season.  Hall finishes his career passing for 4,217 yards and school record 56 td passes.  Hall’s season yardage is 2nd best at North Schuylkill behind Bobby Moyer’s 2,531 yards that he threw for in 1999.  Hall’s career yardage is also 2nd best behind the 4,589 yards Bobby Grigas threw for from 2012-15.  A close race for career completions at North Schuylkill as Grigas holds the record with 249 completions followed by Hall’s 245 and Terry Rakowsky’s 242.  Rawkowsky played from 1974-77 and threw for 3,755 yards and 27 td passes.  Cole Transue of Easton went over 1,000 yards passing on the season in their 7-3 win over Phillipsburg.  Transue ended his career throwing for 3,618 yards and 28 td passes.  Transue’s career yardage is 2nd best at Easton behind Justin Pacchioli’s 3,815 yards that he threw for from 2008-10.  Bobby McClosky of ES South threw for 2,190 yards and 27 td passes this season.  McClosky’s yardage moved him up to 2nd place behind Robby Moyer’s 2,783 yards that he threw for in 2009.  Brian Taylor of Freedom threw for 1,526 yards and 16 td passes this season.  Isaac Whiteash of Williams Valley threw for 1,466 yards and 15 td passes this season.  Tamlin Ferguson of Central Catholic threw for 1,459 yards this season.  Cooper KIng of Northampton threw for 1,433 yards this season and 16 td passes.  Christian Fye of Catasauqua went over 1,000 yards passing vs Northampton and finished his junior season passing for 1,016 yards.  Josiah Williams of Emmaus threw for 282 yards in their playoff loss to Freedom.  That catapulted him from 5th to 1st place at Emmaus for single season passing yards.  Williams ended up throwing for 1,893 yards this season.  Andy Shaver held the old record when he threw for 1,848 yards in 1993.  Other Hornets who threw for 1,800 yards in a season are Brady Knerr (1,826 yards), Ethan Parvel (1,818 yards) and Shaver again with 1,802 yards in 1992.

RECEIVERS:

Trevor Amorim of Northern Lehigh has 50 receptions for a school record 955 yards this season and his career totals have him catching 95 passes for 1,783 yards and 20 td grabs.  Amorim has rushed for 834 yards this season and is on the chart with his 1,120 career rushing yards.  He also joins the “40 td” club as he has scored exactly 40 td’s in his career.  Joey Flail of North Schuylkill finished his sophomore season catching 61 passes for 1,006 yards and 13 td catches.  His 61 catches are a school record.  His yardage is 2 yards shy of the school record of 1,008 yards that Al Marquardt had in 1999.  All 3 totals for Flail this season are 2nd best all-time in the District for a sophomore.  Jahan Dotson of Nazareth holds the records with his 65 catches for 1,174 yards and 16 td catches that he set in 2015.  Flail’s teammate Carl Brown, a one year wonder caught 22 passes for 606 yards and 7 td’s.  Another one year wonder, Colin Burdian of ES South caught 40 passes for 760 yards and 13 td catches.  Junior Brady Evans of Williams Valley ended the season catching 46 passes for 844 yards and 13 td grabs.  Owen Johnson of Freedom ended his junior season catching 28 passes for 574 yards and 6 td’s.  Johnson went over 1,000 yards for his career and will enter his senior year with 58 catches for 1,030 yards and 10 td grabs.  Griffin Patridge of Central Catholic finished his junior season catching 45 passes for 539 yards and 6 td catches.
