District 11 Notes (Week 2 & 3):

UNNINGBACKS: 

Week 2 School Record:  Alex Achenbach (Williams Valley) 343 yards rushing.  Old Record: Alex Achenbach 328 yards vs Panther Valley, 2021.

Week 2 School Record: Luke Stevenosky (Minersville) 316 yards rushing. Old record: Gabe Kuehn 315 yards vs Montgomery, 2018.

Week 2 Milestone: Luke Stevenosky (Minersville) 2,000 career rushing yards. Currently has 2,214 yards.

Week 2 Milestone: Alex Ecker (Pleasant Valley) 300 yards rushing.  School Record: Nasai Moon 328 yards vs PME in 2018.

Week 3 Milestone: Lane Lehman (Pine Grove) 2,000 career rushing yards (2,030 yards).

Week 3 Milestone: Colm McGroaty (Mahanoy Area) 40 career td club (currently has 45). Scored 5 td’s in week 3.

Week 3 Milestone: Matt Machalik (Palmerton) 70 career td’s scored. 15th best all-time in District 11.  Artie Owens of Stroudsburg (1969-71) and Ziggy Dudash of Mahanoy Area (1996-99) both scored 69 career td’s.

Week 3 Milestone: Luke Stevenosky (Minersville) scored 6 td’s.  School Record: Henry Harvey 9 td’s scored in 1915.

Alex Achenbach of Williams Valley has 57 career td’s and is tied for 41st place in District 11 with Chuck Dibilio of Nazareth (2008-10), and Kevin Gulyas of Central Catholic (2008-11).

Week 2 Milestone: Matt Machalik (Palmerton) 50 career td passes. Now has 53.

Week 2 Milestone: Danny Darno (Notre Dame) 40 career td passes. Now has 43

Week 2 Milestone: Trey Dogmantis (Whitehall) 3,000 career passing yards. Currently has 3,278 yards.

Week 3 ties School Record: Ryder Bray (PM West) 5 td passes.  Record: Jeff Krisiak (2012)

Week 3 Milestone: Brady O’Donnell (Lehighton) 3,000 career passing yards (3,104 yards)

Week 3 Milestone: Brad Rissmiller (Pen Argyl) 3,000 career passing yards (3,229 yards)

Week 3 Milestone: Ryder Bray (PM West) 345 yards passing, 1st 300 yard game in the District this year. School Record: Jeff Krisiak 372 yards (2012)

RECEIVERS:

Week 2 ties School Record: Carter Vassa (Bethlehem Catholic) 3 td receptions in a game. Other Golden Hawks with 3: Steff Kern (1985), Nate Stewart (2015), Shamus Williams (2017), Matt Stianche (2018). Vassa is the 1st Hawk freshman to do it.

Week 3 School Record: Luke Meyers (Central Catholic) 51 yard field goal.  Old Record: Mike Wascura 49 yards vs Bethlehem Catholic (1999)

Week 3: Damian Tyminski of Pen Argyl is the first District player to catch 10 or more passes in a game this season. Tyminski caught 10 for 167 yards.

Career reception District 11 rankings: Joey Flail (North Schuylkill) 134 catches (16th all-time), Jareel Calhoun (Central Catholic) 132 catches (18th all-time), Damian Tyminski (Pen Argyl) 127 catches (23rd all-time). Tied with Chad Parton of Salisbury (2018-20)

Career reception yardage District 11 rankings: Flail 2,150 yards (16th best), Tyminski 2,123 yards (19th best)

Career reception td’s: Flail 30 (11th best all-time) tied with Dan Cason of ES South (2008-09).
