RUNNINGBACKS:

Alex Achenbach of Williams Valley rushed for 189 yards in his last career game and finished his senior season with a school record 3,056 yards. Dylan Rabuck held the old record when he rushed for 2,948 yards in 2017. Achenbach rushed for 7,017 yards in his career which is the 4th highest total all-time in District 11. Achenbach scored 37 td’s this year which is the 2nd highest at Williams Valley behind Rabuck’s 42 in 2017. Achenbach scored 86 career td’s which ties him for 7th place all-time in the District with Eric Rath of Pius X. Rath scored his 86 td’s from 1998-01. I looked up to see where Alex ended up all-time in the District for career rushing attempts and his 946 carries has him in 4th place. The top 3 are Zach Barket of Schuylkill Haven (1,029 – 2005-08), Colin McDermott of Central Catholic (967 – 2010-12), and James Mungro of ES South (962 – 1993-96). Looking at the single season rushing attempts leaders all-time in the District there were 2 players to have over 400 rushing attempts. McDermott holds the District record with a whopping 459 attempts in 2012. Barket is 2nd in the District with 406 attempts he had in 2008. Achenbach is now in 3rd place with 384 attempts. Trey Tremba of Parkland finishes his career rushing for 3,363 yards and scoring a total of 65 touchdowns. He slots into the 4th highest yardage total at Parkland behind Austin Scott (5,802 yards – 2000-02), Matt Thomas (4,283 yards – 1995-97), and Sean Bleiler (3,984 yards – 1997-99). His 65 td’s is the 2nd highest at Parkland behind Scott’s 74 td’s. On the District all-time list for career td’s he cracks the top 25 and is tied for 24th place. Juan Gaddy of Easton (1989-92), and Wyatt Clements (2012-15) also scored 65 td’s in their careers. Tremba caught 97 career passes for 1,242 yards and 13 td’s and is one of five District 11 players to rush for 3,000 career yards and have 1,000 reception yards. As mentioned in week 11, they are Frank Morici of Notre Dame, Shane Simpson of Easton, Austyn Borre of Pleasant Valley, and Nate Boyle of Tamaqua. Matt Machalik of Palmerton ends his senior season rushing for a school record 2,251 yards and a school record 37 td’s scored. His 37 td’s ties him for this season’s District lead with Achenbach. Machalik rushed for 5,457 yards in his career which puts him in 9th place all-time in the District. He scored 95 career td’s which is the 4th highest all-time in the District. Dalton Clymer of Northwestern scored 2 td’s in week 13 enabling him to break the school record for career td’s scored. Clymer now has 61 td’s breaking the tie he had with former Tigers Harry Hall and Cade Christopher. Hall scored 59 td’s from 2012-15 and Christopher from 2020-22. That also bumps Clymer up 4 spots on the all-time touchdown District list. He is tied for 35th place with Dan Tavani of Notre Dame (2000-03), Blake Bowman of Tri-Valley (2009-12), and Saquan Barkley of Whitehall (2012-14). Luke Stevenosky of Minersville ends his season with school records for rushing attempts (285), rushing yardage (2,467) and td’s scored (33). Stevenosky also joined the “4,000 yard” club last week and he finishes his career with school records for rushing yardage (4,071), and td’s scored (57). His career yardage slots him into 40th place all-time in the District and his 57 td’s is the 45th highest all-time in the District, tied with Chuck Dibilio of Nazareth (2008-10), Kevin Gulyas of Central Catholic (2008-10), and Cade Sawyer of Southern Lehigh (2022-23). Jed Bendekovits of Nazareth went over 1,000 yards rushing on the season and currently has 1,062 yards to go along with 15 td’s scored. Teammate Marquez Wimberly joins the chart as he went over 1,000 yards rushing for his career. The sophomore has 1,013 yards.

QUARTERBACKS:

Peyton Falzone of Nazareth regains the top spot for passing yards in the District for the current season with 2,376 yards. Falzone lost the top spot after week 9 when he didn’t play in week 10. Falzone has thrown for 17 td’s and rushed for 10 more so far this year. Matt Machalik ends his career throwing for 6,055 yards and 66 td passes. He stays in 18th place all-time in the District for passing yards. His 66 td passes earns him a 14th place tie all-time in the District with Bryce Herb of Williams Valley who also threw for 66 career td passes from 2018-20. Machalik’s combined rushing and passing total of 11,512 yards puts him in 2nd place all-time in the District behind Brendan Nosovitch of Central Catholic who totaled 12,877 yards from 2008-11. Nosovitch rushed for 3,628 yards and threw for 9,249 yards. Cole Defranco (2016-18) of Notre Dame has the 3rd highest total in the District with his 11,355 yards (1,451 rushing, 9,904 passing). Trey Dogmantis of Whitehall threw for a school record 411 yards in week 13 to push his season ending total to 2,323 yards. Giani Sinatore held the old record when he threw for 369 yards vs Emmaus in 2015. Dogmantis moved into 2nd place at Whitehall for single season passing yards behind record holder Zachary Gilbert who threw for 2,781 yards in 2016. Dogmantis owns career school records for pass completions (401), attempts (702), passing yards (5,155), and td passes (51). Luke Spang of Parkland went over 2,000 yards passing in week 13 and ended his senior year throwing for 2,019 yards. He finishes his career at Parkland in 2nd place all-time in all 4 categories, completions (343), attempts (557), passing yards (5,143), and td passes (53). Devante Cross holds all of Parklands records (452 for 795 for 6,350 yards and 64 td passes). Dogmantis is in 34th place all-time for passing yards in th District and Spang is in 35th place. Dante Carr of Minersville finished his sophomore season passing for 1,139 yards. Carr threw for 1,173 yards as a freshman. Cayden Vassa of Bethlehem Catholic finished his sophomore season throwing for 1,529 yards and 18 td passes.

RECEIVERS:

Mason Kuehner of Nazareth caught 10 passes in a game for the 2nd week in a row. Kuehner added another 136 yards and a td to his totals. Kuehner’s season totals have him catching 72 passes for 1,112 yards and 7 td grabs. He’s the 4th Blue Eagle to have 70 receptions in a season and the 7th Blue Eagle to have 1,000 yards receiving in a season. Kuehner’s career totals moved to 180 catches for 2,787 yards and 21 td’s. He’s 6th all-time on the District list for receptions. He moves up 4 spots from 8th to 4th for career reception yardage. He went ahead of Nate Stefanik of Nazareth (2,738 yards), Jason Grow of Williams Valley (2,747 yards), Jahon Dotson of Nazareth (2,755 yards), and Nate Stewart of Pius X/BECA (2,777 yards). The Whitehall duo of Jack Kocher and Braden Bashore ended their careers in week 13. Kocher caught 52 passes for 883 yards and 10 td’s this season and Bashore caught 56 passes for 593 yards and 5 td’s. An odd stat was that Kocher, Bashore and Talon Dogmantis all caught 6 passes each in week 12 and then all three caught 9 passes each in week 13. Kocher had 202 receiving yards and 3 td grabs in week 13. The 202 yards in the game is the 3rd highest at Whitehall behind record holder Fred Delucia (228 yards vs Emmaus in 1988), and Dez Boykin (207 yards vs Liberty in 2016). Kocher joined the “100 catch” club and finished his career catching 106 passes for 1,486 yards and 15 td’s. His catches and yardage are both 4th best at Whitehall and his 15 td’s are tied for 3rd best. Jim Potocnie (2003-05) and Tyler Artim (2008-10) also caught 15 td passes in their careers.
