Cumberland Valley head football coach retires

Head Football coach Tim Rimpfel has retired as the head football coach at Cumberland Valley High School.

Rimpfel coached 24 of his 43 years at Cumberland Valley. His career record is 307-100. He won a state title in 4A in 1992. He won nine District three 4A championships. He coached the Big 33 game and was named PA Coach of the Year.

Athletic Director Michael Craig talked about his time at Cumberland Valley, “He has been an outstanding leader for our program for the past 24 years and has influenced many student-athletes in the Cumberland Valley School District both on and off the field.”

He retired from teaching two years ago. Craig said, “He was a tireless worker and his teams were always disciplined and showed good sportsmanship. He will be missed, but we wish him well in his retirement”.
