Experience in the Trenches Gives Titans a Strong Foundation

The Central Bucks South Titans enter the 2026 season looking to build off a 5-5 campaign with an experienced roster that features proven players on both sides of the football.

Head coach Tom Hetrick welcomes back a veteran offensive line, a productive running back in Gavin Graham and seven returning defensive starters. While the Titans must replace starting quarterback Cade Crim and several other key contributors, the amount of experience returning gives Central Bucks South plenty to work with in the always-competitive Suburban One League National Conference.

Looking Back at 2025

Central Bucks South finished 5-5 last season, with all five victories coming against quality competition.

After losses to Archbishop Wood and Souderton to open the season, the Titans responded with a 21-0 shutout of Upper Dublin and followed with a 21-14 victory over Central Bucks East.

Three more league victories came against Pennsbury, Abington and Neshaminy. The Titans’ 24-21 win over Neshaminy highlighted the second half of the season.

Central Bucks South’s defense showed its potential throughout the year. The Titans held Upper Dublin scoreless, Pennsbury to three points and four opponents to 14 points or fewer.

With much of that defensive unit returning, the Titans will look to make another jump in 2026.

Graham Ready for a Bigger Role

Senior Gavin Graham gives Central Bucks South a proven two-way playmaker.

Graham rushed for 561 yards on 78 carries, averaging 7.2 yards per attempt, while scoring seven touchdowns last season.

With the Titans replacing their starting quarterback, Graham’s ability to carry the offense could become even more important.

He’ll have plenty of experience blocking for him.

Central Bucks South returns five senior offensive linemen: Frank Johnston, Michael Dolan, Colin Jack, Braden Kube and Adrian Hryckowian.

That veteran group could become the identity of the offense.

With experience across the front and Graham in the backfield, Central Bucks South has the personnel to establish the running game while a new quarterback settles into the starting role.

Titans Must Find Their Next Quarterback

The biggest offensive question will be replacing Cade Crim at quarterback.

Crim is one of four key starters lost to graduation, joining tight end/linebacker Brandon Zubyk, fullback/linebacker Jack Bartolillo and offensive lineman Shea Fullerton.

Whoever wins the quarterback competition will benefit from playing behind an experienced offensive line and having Graham available in the backfield.

Senior tight end Andrew Rizzo also returns after catching four passes for 49 yards and a touchdown last season. His size and experience could give the new quarterback a dependable target, particularly in play-action situations.

Senior defensive back Colin White is another player who could contribute offensively. White rushed for 286 yards on 50 carries and four touchdowns in 2025, giving the Titans another experienced option in the running game.

Offensive Line Could Be the Strength

Few teams enter a season with five returning senior offensive linemen.

Central Bucks South does.

Johnston, Dolan, Jack, Kube and Hryckowian give Hetrick an experienced foundation to build around.

Several of those players have also contributed defensively.

Jack recorded 10 tackles, one sack and 3.5 tackles for loss, while Kube had 12 tackles and two tackles for loss. Hryckowian added eight tackles and 1.5 sacks, while Johnston recorded four tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Their experience and physicality should allow the Titans to lean heavily on the line while new skill-position players develop.

Graham Leads an Experienced Defense

Graham isn’t just the Titans’ leading returning rusher. He’s also one of their most disruptive defenders.

Playing defensive end, Graham recorded 26 tackles, five sacks and nine tackles for loss last season.

His ability to consistently get into the backfield makes him a player opposing offenses will have to account for on every snap.

Senior defensive end Santino Wade provides another experienced presence up front after finishing with 29 tackles, 1.5 sacks and two tackles for loss.

Together, Wade and Graham give the Titans two veteran edge defenders capable of putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

Kube Anchors the Linebackers

Senior Javin Kube returns as Central Bucks South’s leading tackler after recording 66 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

He’ll be joined at linebacker by senior Sean Bulicki, who contributed 35 tackles and an interception.

Sophomore Cole Walker gained valuable varsity experience as a freshman, finishing with 29 tackles and one tackle for loss. His continued development could give Central Bucks South another important piece in the middle of its defense.

With Graham and Wade up front and Kube, Bulicki and Walker at linebacker, the Titans have significant experience in their front seven.

Young Talent Returns in the Secondary

The Titans also return experience on the back end.

Sophomore Trent Haviland made an immediate impact as a freshman, recording 29 tackles and two interceptions.

Senior Colin White returns after collecting 31 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss.

With Haviland already having a full varsity season under his belt, Central Bucks South could have one of the more intriguing young defensive backs in the Suburban One League.

Players to Watch

Gavin Graham, RB/DE, Sr. — The Titans’ top returning two-way player rushed for 561 yards and seven touchdowns while adding five sacks and nine tackles for loss defensively.

Javin Kube, LB, Sr. — Central Bucks South’s leading returning tackler after registering 66 stops, 4.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks.

Colin White, RB/DB, Sr. — Contributed on both sides of the ball with 286 rushing yards, four touchdowns and 31 tackles.

Santino Wade, DE, Sr. — An experienced edge defender who recorded 29 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Trent Haviland, DB, So. — Made an impact immediately as a freshman with 29 tackles and two interceptions.

Sean Bulicki, LB, Sr. — A veteran linebacker who finished 2025 with 35 tackles and an interception.

Cole Walker, LB, So. — Another young defender who gained significant varsity experience as a freshman, recording 29 tackles.

Andrew Rizzo, TE, Sr. — A returning offensive starter who could see his role in the passing game expand with a new quarterback.

Frank Johnston, Michael Dolan, Colin Jack, Braden Kube and Adrian Hryckowian — The Titans’ veteran offensive line could be one of the team’s biggest strengths.

A Challenging 2026 Schedule

Central Bucks South will find out quickly where it stands.

Following an August 22 scrimmage against Easton, the Titans travel to Archbishop Wood for their opener before hosting Downingtown West.

A Thursday night trip to Plymouth-Whitemarsh concludes the non-league portion of the schedule.

From there, it’s seven consecutive Suburban One League National Conference games.

The Titans host Abington before traveling to Neshaminy and Central Bucks East. October features three major home games against Central Bucks West, North Penn and Pennridge, with a road trip to Pennsbury mixed in.

The stretch from late September through October should determine whether the Titans can emerge as a contender in the conference and District 1 Class 6A playoff race.

My thoughts on Central Bucks South

There are questions for Central Bucks South, particularly at quarterback and at several skill positions, but the Titans have something every coach wants when breaking in new starters: experience up front.

Returning five senior offensive linemen should give Central Bucks South the ability to establish its running game and take pressure off its new quarterback. Graham is already a proven runner, while White provides another experienced option after rushing for nearly 300 yards last season.

Defensively, the Titans could be even further along.

Graham, Wade, Kube, Bulicki, Walker, Haviland and White all return after playing significant roles in 2025. The combination of veteran seniors and talented underclassmen gives Central Bucks South experience at every level of the defense.

Graham could be the player who ties everything together. He has already proven capable of being a difference-maker as both a running back and defensive end, and an even bigger senior season could be ahead.

After finishing 5-5 in 2025, the Titans have the pieces to take another step forward. If Central Bucks South finds consistent quarterback play, takes advantage of its experienced offensive line and continues to play strong defense, the Titans have an opportunity to turn last year’s .500 season into a winning campaign and put themselves in the District 1 Class 6A playoff conversation.
