Bo knows football.

Today the PSFCA Big 33 named former Berwick Bulldog quarterback Bo Orlando as this year’s Honorary Chairman.

In High School, Orlando played quarterback and defensive back at Berwick Area High School. In his senior year, he led Berwick (13-0) to the USA Today mythical national championship in 1983.

Bo received a scholarship and attended West Virginia University from 1984 to 1988. He played quarterback at Berwick but moved to strong safety in college. He helped lead the Mountaineers to their undefeated 1988 season.

In 1989, Bo was drafted by the Houston Oilers in the sixth round (157th overall) as a free safety and played there for five years. In 1994, he had seven interceptions and returned one for a touchdown against Pittsburgh. In 1995, he played for the San Diego Chargers. He became the second leading tackler behind fellow player Junior Seau. The following year, he became a free agent and joined the Cincinnati Bengals. He led this team with 127 tackles. In 1998, he played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and retired from the NFL afterward.
