2026 Outlook:
Our biggest task for the 2026 season will be to overcome the loss of the PCL’s best player, Sophia Topakas, to injury. She is the heart and soul of the team. To say her leadership and dominating on the field presence will be missed is an understatement. However, we are lucky to have a roster full of girls and team leaders who love playing the game and possess an unwavering competitive nature. They will work to push each other to try and fill that void and continue to build upon the early success that they have established for the program.

Team Success Keys:
Naturally, we have been lucky to have very talented athletes at Wood. But what makes this group unique is how they can come from different backgrounds, friend groups, and athletic experience and are able to come together in a ridiculously short amount of time and gel as a team.

What we find most impressive about this group is the consistent effort and mental toughness they display. They have a ‘never quit’ attitude that permeates throughout the rest of the team. We are extremely proud of this group and look forward to seeing what they can achieve on the field in 2026.
