2021 Outlook:

Offense: We need to develop our run game behind our offensive line. We are inexperienced offensively, so we are looking for guys to step up and establish themselves in our offense. We have a few different personnel packages we like offensively, but again, with us being so inexperienced we will need players to earn their spot throughout camp and the season. We have some young players who bring a nice mixture of size and speed on the offensive side of the ball, it is just about finding our identity as a young team. Limiting turnovers and penalties will be a major key for us to be successful offensively.

Defense: Our defensive line will need to be our difference makers for us. We have 2 guys back on our defensive line, along with some other players who have contributed on game day. We will be looking at that unit to provide leadership and produce for us defensively. Both our linebackers and secondary as units are young with the exception of 2-3 players, but they are good athletes who have committed to improving throughout the summer as we approach the camp. We have to force turnovers and get off the field early by pursuing the football and tackling efficiently if we want to be a solid defensive football team.

Special Team: We are putting an extra emphasis on special teams this upcoming season. We have to win the field position battle, so our punt and punt return units must be efficient for us. Also, our kicking game is extremely important. If we can win the field position game, tackle in space, force turnovers, and take care of the football, we can be a very good team in the special team’s phase of the game.
