Northwestern Lehigh standout Brady Zimmerman has found his college football home and he’ll be joining a familiar face when he 
gets there.
Zimmerman, a Class of 2027 two-way standout for the Tigers, announced on X that he has committed to Bloomsburg University, where he will join his older brother and former Northwestern Lehigh standout, Eli Zimmerman.
The 5-foot-8, 163-pound Zimmerman plays Slot/FB on offense and linebacker on defense. He has developed into one of the Tigers’ most productive players on both sides of the football.
Zimmerman put together an outstanding junior season in 2025. Offensively, he caught 45 passes for 956 yards and finished the season with 1,194 total yards and 20 total touchdowns.
Defensively, he recorded 102 total tackles, one interception and one forced fumble.
His ability to make plays in multiple roles earned him plenty of postseason recognition. Zimmerman was named First Team All-Colonial League Red Division at both slot and outside linebacker. He also earned Pennsylvania Writers’ Class 3A All-State honors at wide receiver and was selected to the PFN Class 3A Coaches Select First Team All-State squad at Slot/HB.
His success wasn’t limited to his junior season. As a sophomore in 2024, Zimmerman was selected to the Pennsylvania Writers’ Class 3A All-State Team at linebacker.
Northwestern Lehigh head coach Josh Snyder expects Zimmerman to take on an even larger role for the Tigers in 2026.
“Brady has been a playmaker for us on both sides of the ball and really came into his own last year making splash plays on defense from his LB position and catching passes on offense,” Snyder said. “Brady plays with high energy and makes others around him better. Brady will come into a leadership role for us this season and will be relied on to be a go-to player in all three phases. Brady has an opportunity to be a three-time All-State performer.”
Zimmerman’s commitment to Bloomsburg also continues a family football connection.
His brother, Eli, was a standout at Northwestern Lehigh before beginning his college career at Bloomsburg. Eli is a slot receiver for the Huskies and made an immediate impact during his freshman season, including earning PSAC East Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
Now Brady will follow his brother from New Tripoli to Bloomsburg and give the Zimmerman family another opportunity to wear the Huskies’ maroon and gold.
