Highlights of 2024:

– Brody Pentz being names second team all-state
2025 Returning Player Stats:
Evan Ransom (SR) – OL/DL
He is the real deal. Strong, Athletic and determined. He will be in the conversation for All-State honors when the season is done. He has been a 4-year starter. Plays mostly left guard but does move to Center when needed.
Tegan Stone (SO) – WR/CB
He is as fast and athletic as anyone at the single-A level. He is undersized but plays like he is bulletproof. Was Bucktail leading receiver last year until a separated shoulder put him on the sidelines for the final 3 games.
Aidan Ditty (JR) – TE/DE
He is quiet and coachable. He stands tall and confident. Will be a receiving weapon on Offense and will be leaned on heavily on Defense. A “sneaky good athlete” is the best way to describe him.
Jayden Barnes (SR) – OL/DL
He has been a 3-year starter on the offensive line. Great kid, likable and leads quietly. Will be looked at to have a huge impact on the offensive line this year.
Key Newcomers:
Corbin Pentz (FR) – QB/S
Learn this name. It will be written often over the next four years. He is not as talented as his older brother (Brody) yet………….but give him time. He will be!
Eli Barndt (FR) – OL/DL
This young man will be slid into a tough spot. He will be asked to block grown men at 14-years old………..He will find success at times and failure at other times………..but no one is more excited to get out there and get started
2025 Offensive Outlook: Our 2025 offense will look much like our 2024 offense. We will be run-heavy as most Single-A schools are. Jaden Intallura will get more carries this year from the tailback position and Steven Heiser will continue to get the tough yards up the middle as an old-school fullback. The goal will be to slow the game down and stay in games into the fourth quarter. Misdirection with a dual threat QB is obviously something Bucktail has been able to do over the last couple of years; we are hoping to do that same this year. As always, we will go where the line goes. We only return 2 starters from last year’s line (Ransom and Barnes) so competitions are set for the remaining 3 spots.
2025 Defensive Outlook: Bucktail’s Defense has struggled a great deal over the last couple of years. This will need to change in order for Bucktail to find victories. The Bucktail Defense will look to some new anchors this year. Some returning starters in the form of Ditty and Heiser will likely be at the second level playing linebacker. Ransom and Barnes will be upfront. Stone and Intallura will be back deep in coverage. A couple new faces on defense that will be looked at hard include Andrew Kitchen (SR) and Thomas Tarantella (SO). The early thoughts have Bucktail in a 4-4 base defense most of the year.
